Hotel like studio
This rental was absolutely perfect! It was so clean it felt like we were in a brand new hotel. It was obviously redone recently and the finishes were beautiful. There is a robust kitchenette and the owner left us a bottle of wine and other lovely little touches like fresh fruit. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Sweet spot!
Super cute & clean guest cottage between Santa Ynez and Solvang business areas. Would definitely stay there again. Literally, the only draw back is you are not walking distance to anything. But, with the little kitchen space & provided basics, you will have what is most needed. Easy check in, clear communications.

4/5 Good

Great Layover
Very tidy and efficient space recently redone. It checked two of my main boxes immediately: king size bed and walk-in shower, both spacious and comfortable--a credit to the hostess for accomplishing it in such a small but uncrowded space. This is an almost perfect larger room for a one- or two-night transitional stay between Northern or Central California and San Diego for sure. It's a great value and a second night would give a full day to explore the beautiful and often overlooked Santa Ynez Valley. I would have given it 5 full stars but it lacked cable for local news and provided a toaster oven in place of the usual relied upon microwave. Also, the highway is nearby and it can get a little noisy on a Friday night. Hostess Jennifer was very nice in greeting us. We would stay again.

The room was great, very charming and exactly as advertised. The amenities such as a Brita water filter, coffee machine with K-cups, and shampoo and conditioner were very thoughful and useful. Great location- only 3 miles to Solvang and right across from the casino. I would stay again!

5/5 Excellent

Quiet, private, secluded, stylish wine country studio, much nicer than comparable hotels in the area
Wifey and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property, which is a renovated studio with attached bathroom beneath the owner's main family home (no other rooms on the same level). The pictures don't do it justice, as the renovation was very tastefully done and the whole unit is gorgeous; floors, bathroom, walk-in shower, kitchenette, small touches, everything is lovely. There is a private driveway/parking space and a private entrance, ensuring that we weren't required to have any direct contact with the owner at all during our stay, as we didn't need anything that wasn't already provided. Communication for check-in/check-out was fast, easy, and pleasant, I have no reason to imagine it would have been otherwise mid-stay. We have been to Santa Barbara County wine country numerous times and Santa Ynez is further east than we typically stay, but I was pleasantly surprised with the nearby El Rancho market, the ease of hopping on the 154 or the 246 to connect to other areas, and the proximity to Los Olivos. The neighborhood itself was almost spookily quiet and peaceful, especially after dark. The casino is quite nearby, but you're set up the hill and down and around side streets enough that the resultant traffic/noise were not an issue. The unit was a bit hard to find, but the owner provides very detailed instructions which were on point. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator/freezer, single hot plate, toaster oven, electric kettle, and Keurig-style coffee machine; that's it for gadgets, so no microwave, but a toaster oven is better anyway. Provided dishes and cookware were more than sufficient for basic cooking and of better quality than I usually see in rentals. There were a large amount of fresh fruits and coffee supplies, but no oils/spices/etc. Tips: Unit is directly below their living room, we could hear children running about occasionally, never egregious noise levels (and somehow never heard any vocalizations) but maybe bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper who likes to sleep in. Still much quieter than any hotel near this price point. No large frying pan (two small ones and plenty of pots), bring your own if you're gonna want it No unit-specific AC; we stayed in August, mid-90s outside, and never felt the need to ask for central air to be turned on (there's a vent so I think it's connected), but did leave purchased wines at tasting rooms to pick up on our way out instead of keeping in the room. There is a nice tower fan
