Sits perched atop a hill, far removed from any freeway noise, with 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Santa Ynez mountains on the other. There was a lot of outdoor space, which allowed us to visit but also retreat for reading or whatever else. It was a 3 minute drive (or 10 minute walk) to the main street of Summerland, which had several great shops and restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked. Summerland is a perfect place to stay if you want a great home town feel and it’s conveniently located to Santa Barbara. There was plenty of room to enjoy ourselves, both inside and out. It’s a beautiful home, with beautiful grounds. The area is quiet, and the views are astonishing! The hosts were great communicators. My MiL couldn't get over the lush foliage. Feels very private without feeling isolated.Only regret is not having at least one day of nothing planned as it was a busy commencement weekend and this home would be great for quiet reading by fireplace or any of the outside areas or in the comfy beds... or a fun movie or game night in the living area. And the communication with host can't be beat - courteous, thoughtful, and prompt. Just great overall. ##### Christopher C.
