Ideally located in a gated complex, Taormina resides in a lush garden setting a mere one-block walk to the beach. Stroll or bike along the boardwalk, visit The Sea Center on Stearn's Wharf, take a sunset cruise out of the Harbor, watch a baseball game at Pershing Park, all just minutes from the front door. Right down the street, Los Banos de la Mar pool offers a sparkling Olympic-size pool when an invigorating lap swim suits the workout schedule. This five-unit complex, Cinque Terra, is reminiscent of an Italian Villa with red-tile roofs, hand-textured walls, colorful tile, and oodles of Mediterranean charm. Once through the secure, gated entry, follow the sounds of the fountain and up one flight to the front door. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all on this level. The primary suite with a king-size bed and private terrace is a soothing sanctuary; the fireplace adds warmth and comfort at the flip of a switch. Two generous-sized closets flank the hallway leading to the luxurious primary bathroom. In the heart of the Funk zone. The beach and wharf were under 10 minute walks as were most restaurants. Also walkable to downtown, maybe 15-20 minutes. The rental itself was fabulous. Spacious, the pictures make it look smaller but it’s bigger than it looks with plenty of space and seating. The dining table was large and also great for family game night. Kitchen was well stocked with items for cooking and serving. The bedrooms were just what we needed for our family. Master en-suite and then two other rooms down the hall with a shared bathroom. The upper patio deck was perfect! Watch sunrises with coffee or sit by the fire at night with a glass of wine and the string lights on! Private too. Has plenty of seating (high top table, couch, chairs, stools) and a grill. Unit also has a nice full size fridge and washer/dryer set. Garage parking was clutch! It was quite hot it was difficult for my parents to deal with. I am glad you had an air conditioning in the master bedroom. But the upstairs was pretty unbearable the first day and still hot the next two days. Also, it would've been nice to have a few more condiments especially some olive oil or some type of oil to cook with. The front gate code needs to have an asterisk after it. Also the lockbox is a bit difficult to use it's maybe a bit old? Also I could not get the garage door to lock I am not sure what happened there.
