Step out the front door, breathe the fresh ocean air, and be "toes in the sand" in less than five minutes! The two cottages of this duplex each offer a wide range of amenities and updated, stylized charm. When rented together, there are five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a detached laundry room off the garage with a third bathroom, two kitchens, dual living spaces to hang out, and off-street parking for two cars. Wave riders will also have a couple of boogie boards and plenty of beach towels at their disposal! One king-size bed, three queen beds, and two twins allow for sleeping up to ten guests. The obvious benefit of a duplex is having the flexibility to flow between units when it is time for guests to gather, play games, and cook together while also providing autonomy for those seeking respite and a bit more privacy. East Beach Escape is the best of both worlds! As is typical with many Santa Barbara homes, this property does not have AC. Open windows and the use of fans allow ocean breezes in to keep the house cool during hot summer months. Take a bike ride or brisk stroll along the waterfront to the Santa Barbara Zoo, the East Beach volleyball courts, the Andree Clark Bird Refuge, and Stearns Wharf. Stop in Tri-County Produce Co., a beloved open-air market one block over, take a swing in the batting cages down the street, or plan any number of adventures on foot, bike, or by car. Hey why not rent a kayak or surry nearby! There is so much to see and do here; seriously, there is no better starting place than East Beach Escape while visiting Santa Barbara! Jan 7, 2025 #### Great Location, Beautiful Rental, and Hassle-Free Booking! Overall, very satisfied with the rental through Santa Barbara rentals. I had three other rentals fall through, so it was nice dealing with a company that didn't try to change things after we tried booking. The rental is a block away from the beach, but there is a field between it and the water so you still have ocean views (more in the front rental). Everything looked as pictured on the website. The living spaces were lovely. Linens were nice. Location was great! Easy to walk to the beach and only about a mile to the Funk zone and the wharf. There are also a lot of electric bikes for rent along the way, so if you don't want to walk you can easily jump on a bike. We did not use the kitchen most, so cannot comment on how cooking would be, but we had the supplies we needed.
