"For only being rated 3 stars, my stay was excellent. Loved the ground floor room with double doors opening onto a patio with seating for our party, which opened out into a green area/garden. Beds were quite comfy and roomy enough with a lovely, large tiled shower."

"Close to the beach and many restaurants. Rooms were clean, bathrooms well maintained and the evenings were quiet. Parking is a little tight, but as long as you don’t have a utility vehicle, the spaces are wide enough."

"The check-in was so smooth and they let us check-in early. The exterior and lobby were so pretty and inviting. The room was spotless and smelled so nice. The courtyard view was cute. The pool was sparkling clean. The bed was comfy, and the room was super spacious. The shampoo, body wash, and conditioner smelled so nice. Breakfast was nice. Standard hotel breakfast. Green apples, bananas…no gluten free options."

"The Franciscan was an excellent choice for our stopover in Santa Barbara. Staff was excellent, beds were the comfiest hotel beds ever, grounds were beautiful, and it was the perfect location to walk to the beach and pier. They even have bicycles to use!"
