Arrived at hotel just what we expected. Hotel fabulous position overlooking sea. Gardens lovely. Staff friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast lots of choice. Clean rooms. Hotel itself wonderful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
"This hotel is well located, close to beach, shops ."
Checked in by a very helpful lady called angela. Our room was sea facing and very comfortable.had dinner in hotel one night which was fine ,fairly good selection.breakfast was good also fine selection of breads, cheeses, cold meats etc, coffee awful! A vending machine, very disappointed as Italians make great coffee.a severe shortage of fresh fruit also, even though we were quite early for breakfast we were told fruit was finished . On our last night we arrived for diner and were told it was not possible due to a private function, fine but we could have been informed earlier, and the restaurant manager need not have been so rude and ill mannered .all other staff were friendly, bar porters, reception etc.,
Hotel needs a little bit of renovation, but room was large (for Italian standards), clean and quite comfortable, with a sofa and balcony. Air conditioner didn't work very well, it wasn't hot during our stay but it's something to consider if you are traveling during the heat season.
We got a really nice rate, so we were really happy with the price/value of our experience, Although I have to say the hotel is more of a 3 star than 4. Anyone expecting a a regular 4 star hotel experience might be a little bit disappointed. But overall I do recommend it.
Near the border with France on the Riviera dei Fiori, San Remo is known for the annual Music Festival and its extensive production of flowers. Visit the casino, an ancient building in the center of town celebrating its centenary, stroll through the Old Town with its awesome cobbled streets, or sit on the beach to watch the sunset.
