Featuring two spacious bedrooms, two upgraded bathrooms, a waterfront patio, a spacious living room and dining area, and an exquisitely equipped kitchen, this property is sure to please even the most discerning of guests. Completely redone in 2025, guests will be among the first to experience this flawlessly renovated residence! The Space: This residence features a direct gulf front exposure and is positioned parallel to the beach boasting a large screened-in patio. As can be seen in the pictures, this unit is fantastically appointed and upgraded, featuring multiple flat screen TVs, new appliances, granite counter tops, and renovated kitchen and bathrooms. Unit includes premium cable, high speed wifi, and smart keyless entry. Highlights: Two bedrooms with pullout sofa, sleeping six guests total Access to exclusive Sanibel Surfside amenities Direct beachfront disposition Steps to beach Note- The Sanibel Surfside complex does not permit smoking in the individual unit or its lanai, also there is no smoking near cabanas. Per association, no smoking (including e-cigs/vaping) anywhere inside or outside the entire Sanibel Surfside complex. Sanibel Surfside is now a 100% smoke-free property. Guest Access: Surfside is reopening for the first time since Hurricane Ian. As a result, certain amenities may not be available during your stay. Guests should be aware that the pool, tennis courts and grills are currently unavailable and the beach boardwalk may not be finished by the time of your stay. There may also be construction occurring on site to the landscaping and pool area, among other areas and guests may experience noise associated with this at times. These amenities are expected to be restored by summer of 2025 but a firm timeline has not yet been provided. In the meantime, guests can access the beach using the side path through Sanibel Surfside that leads to the Donax St. beach access. Surfside guests will have access to the pool pertaining to the adjoining complex Pelicans Roost in the meantime! The Neighborhood: For those unfamiliar with the location of this residence, it is situated on the desirable East End of Sanibel, which is equidistant to almost every sought after beach on Sanibel. You will be near to restaurants, shopping, and activity, while still far enough removed to be reminded that you are on vacation and provided ample opportunity to socially distance away from the hustle bustle that can characterize island life during season. This location is also advantageous in that it provides quick on and off access to the causeway, as to allow guests a quick commute into and from Fort Myers without having to contest with seasonal traffic. All in all, a superb residence in a superb location! Getting Around: We recommend renting a car, golf cart, or bikes while staying with us. This residence is extremely close to many local restaurants, shopping, and activities. Other Things to Note: Guests must sign a rental agreement prior to checking in. A non-refundable cancellation fee of $100 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment. This was our first time at the Sanibel Surfside complex. It was very nice. Very well maintained. Nice pool. Nice grills. Tennis courts with one court striped for pickleball. And great beach location. This unit faced the beach which was perfect. It is on the second level. We enjoyed keeping the lanai door open and listening to the waves at night. The unit itself is pretty typical for a two bedroom condo on Sanibel. Good sized bedrooms. 2 baths and a spacious lanai. It’s just a bit dated. It seems obvious no one lives here. While there are lots of pots and pans and dishes, they are old, worn (there was a broken knife) and, well, just old, including the appliances. There as an ice maker but no water filter in the fridge. (The tap water is fine, it just has an odd taste if you’re not used to it). Beach chairs and umbrella provided, but again, older and not real comfortable. Towels were provided and were just fine. The unit would benefit from someone in the rental agency staying in it, cooking there, taking some notes and spending a little bit of money to update some items. I don’t mean to be negative. It’s a still a great unit in a good location. When we go back to Sanibel we will consider it, and definitely consider Sanibel Surfside. ##### Marcus C. The condo was perfect. The view of the ocean was amazing from almost every room. One minute walk to the beach. Outside hose to clean yourself off when you come back from beach. 3 beach chairs and an umbrella were very helpful. Secluded location but close enough to everything to bike or drive. Pool was nice. We didn’t cook much but there are pots, pans, silverware, dinnerware, toaster, coffee pot, blender. The property is well taken care of and we enjoyed all the beautiful plants and trees. We just finished up a week long girls trip with 5 adults in this cute ocean view condo! There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out when we were just hanging out. Just steps to the beach! We really loved details like the shell and foot rinsing station. It kept our condo much less sandy. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We cooked daily, and the kitchen is well stocked. For the few things we needed or needed restocked, I just emailed our property manager, and they had the items delivered to our door. Communication was clear and prompt.
