"The hotel is located right in front of lake Toya with direct access for viewing fireworks. The buffet dinner and breakfast provided has lot of selection but quite similar. Pro: beautiful hotel, great views, good breakfast (didn’t eat dinner there as the menu is not to our liking) Con: as mentioned by other guests, the room is only suitable for couples. "A really pleasant hotel close to lake Toya. The traditional Japanese room was excellent to experience and the onsen with its both indoor and outdoor baths were phenomenal. There were other amenities such as free bike rentals to take advantage of. The breakfast buffet offered here was superb and there were a few options for restaurants in the area to walk to in the evenings."

"Property is a 10 minute drive away from the heavily touristed area. Perfect for us. The hosts are wonderful and the food is amazing. We got the half board (dinner and breakfast) for four. Amazing. Cabins are all built using huge logs. A tad rustic but with amazing soaking tub plus modern toilets. We stayed in summer. No A/c but temps were cool. Highly recommend and would stay again. "

The Royal Park Canvas – Sapporo Odori Park

"Perfect location next to Odori Park and the tv tower! Staff was friendly, check in/out was pretty easy. They provided pillows and a blanket for our kiddo who slept on the window seat bed. The room was the smallest of the four we stayed in during our trip to Japan, but it was manageable. The associated parking structure is very close, although it can be tricky to get in during certain times of the day because the line for the mall parking structure overlaps and you can get stuck in the line that goes around the corner. Overall, it’s a very nice hotel and we’d choose it again. "

"Pros: - Short walk from JR Sapporo station, and its attached shopping/dinning complex. - Hokkaido's famous confection shop "Rikkatei" is just across the street. - Great breakfast. The buffet option (restaurant at 1st floor) includes infinite icecream. - Very helpful staff who helped us make a reservaton for a local restaurant (we were unable to do it ourselves as it required a Japanese phone number) - Relatively clean and comfy Cons: - The 2 blue cushions on the bed had an odd smell."

"Booked the twin bed hotel rooms. The rooms are quite small (as expected for a city hotel) but they are very clean with a practical layout. They provided two kinds of pillows, buckwheat and down, as well as nightwear. The rooms were cheaper if you opt for no housekeeping during the stay, but they delivered fresh towels, daily. Having an onsen is a real bonus. As the room is small, there’s no space to layout your suitcase so I would recommend minimal shopping and hand carry luggage sizes only. With a 5-10 min walk, the dining options were fantastic. The major shopping street is about 15 min walk away. The Toho subway exit is at the hotel front door. Excellent location. Would definitely book here again. "
