I really wanted to give this Motel a chance as it does have some mixed reviews and a lot of fun gimmick stuff outside. My room was not filthy, but I did not like finding a dead fly under my fitted sheet or my feet getting black from the dirty tile floor after I got out of the shower. Outside of that, the room was pretty clean, but very dated. It felt like I stepped into mid last century and I did not feel comfortable just hanging out in the room. I wish I could say I would stay there again, but I really don't want to stay there again.

I don't mind staying at a modest motel, but this one is beyond horrible. Torn, dirty carpet. Tub did not drain. Towels were stained and threadbare. Door did not unlock properly. Safety latch was hanging loose. No blankets. Dirty bedspreads. Moldy smell.

Property was very old. Bed spread had cigarette holes, and stains. pillows had just pillow covers no pillow cases. Toilet made lots of noise when flushing and shower did not have no skid on bath tub and was slippery. We were on 2nd floor and staircase by our room was not usable since falling apart. When we decided to not stay a 2nd night it was 11:53 am and was told we could not get refund since it was after 11:00 am. No coffee pot in room. Had 2 sample shampoo but no conditioner and 2 tiny bars of soap. Hair dryer was sitting loose on top with towels which were very worn. TV kept turning itself off. Would not recommend this place. Location was near decent restaurants and stores.

NOTHING like the picture of the room I booked. VERY dirty and needed painted. Literal gouges and scratches/holes all over the walls and bathroom door. TV did not work. We booked a Non-smoking room, it was CLEARLY a smoking room. Bathroom fan and light hummed LOUDLY. Sheets/pillow cases were NOT changed/clean nor were the towels. Hair and bugs on the floor. We literally went to Walmart and bought Lysol, Clorox wipes, air fresheners, blankets and pillows/pillow cases. The rooms are adjoining with a VERY unsturdy lock. The people next to us were smoking SOMETHING, to the point we stuffed a pillow and towel between the door and floor. The front door lock did not work and they said it was for “fire code safety”. The heater didn’t work. The bathtub (dirty) didn’t drain. Not to mention the MULTIPLE rooms on the second floor AND staircase that were flagged as CONDEMNED!!!! We actively searched for another hotel after checking in while at dinner and everything was sold out. Thankfully we were literally only there to sleep for the night. Only plus was close to restaurants, activities and beaches.

Due to the Solar eclipse event, it was way overpriced. Over pricing is okay in those time, but should improve the quality along with it. Would stay again, if don’t want to stay in the car overnight.

The staff was very rude about trying to check in early. Sheets had not been changed. Yet the reason i could not check in early is because they were cleaning the room. Also towels were absolutely awful with stains and did not absorb at all.

Regarding the towels- you can always ask to change towels until you are satisfied. The tens of thousands of who come to us every year prove that we are on the right track. We work hard to be better.

I stayed for about 6 weeks with my husband. Great deal and value for extended stay with budget in mind. Not ideal for children per say, because of sometimes other traffic but definitely decent for cost for couple. I do recommend you be prepared with your own linens and toiletries though. Also limit of one small trash bag despite two being requested. Other than no housekeeping for extended stays I have no complaints. It just makes it hard to keep the room clean.

The room door was left open all day, can only assume after the housekeeper cleaned it before we checked in, on a super cold day. It was absolutely freezing and the room heater worked but not good enough to keep us comfortable. To be fair. I probably could've asked for another room and gave them a chance to fix my problem, but it was midnight when we checked in and we just wanted to lay down. Front desk clerk Alvin was great. Very quick, kind, and curteous. We will stay here again 😁

True story..
From the moment i got into this disgusting cockroach infested dump was a nightmare. Not only are the rooms disgusting and inhumane, the staff is just as terrible. I will be contacting the health department after this review and then im going to get a refund even if it means taking it to court. They don't have enough room in this text box to tell what i need to tell. My advice? Choose a different hotel.
Taking the bed off the frame to look for bed bugs.
The bedding i took off to trade for new ones. I was almost in a physical fight with a big black bitch who worked there. Rude af.
To the housekeepers of this armpit of a hotel.. Ever use a broom?
When i walked in for the first time i seen this. I asked the employee.. would you sleep on this? She said, i don't have to, im not homeless like you.

I stay here about every other week. The front desk attendant, Amari, is professional and friendly. This motel has good rates. It is a basic and clean motel.

Where do I start. I stayed in room 144 and there was a bag of dirty clothes in a garbage bag sitting on the sidewalk beside the door. The comforter was old and dirty with either blood or food stains on it. the dresser/tv stand had candle wax dripped on it and the inside of the bathroom door looked like a dog had been chewing on it. The towels had seen better days too. very raggy and had black stains on them. Maybe some of the other rooms were in better shape but I wasn't in them so I could not say. I will never stay there again. Oh and the floor between the bed and nightstand had some sort of spill on it and a penny stuck to it that even housekeeping wouldn't pick up.

I reserved a non smoking room and they gave me a room that smelled like cigarettes . Also I saw blood stains in the sheets and even on the pillow cases . The bed cover was not washed and I found hair on it . I was too tired and just made my own bed putting my own clothes on the mattress , a shirt on top of the pillow and I turned on the heater so I didn't need any bed sheets or covers. I survived the night but I can say that it was the worst hotel I stayed in my life To the management on this property, please get some bleach and wash your sheets well .

It was a very satisfactory stay here. Everything in the room worked properly, fridge, microwave, heater, etc, comfy bed, good clean bathroom, hot water/shower worked well, and one of my biggest sticking points did not apply here: NO bugs🙏 so A on that. So all in all a satisfactory room at a really good price

Best value in Sandusky
Always a fantastic, easy time at the Wolf Inn. This place has been my preferred "home away from home" for the past 2 and 1/2 years.

The stay was just ok. Mattress way to hard, and even though I requested a non smoking room. The room had a smell of old smoke. And refrigerator made noise all night long.
