This is a hidden gem!!! Beautiful location. Clean. Wonderful staff. Very nice breakfast. Soft beds. Plenty of towels. Mini frig did not get cold, but had ice machine, complementary lemon water and coffee station. Would definitely stay again.

Nice pool area, great staff, room was clean and comfy-loved our view of the river! My son even got to fish right outside! Loved the town and pier area!!
Breakfast was average, could be a little better.

Walls are very thin and you can hear conversations from the hall and units next door as well as outside train noise in the distance. Beds are comfy, great shower pressure and temps, decent breakfast and restaurant next door. Plenty of parking and close to Vermillion, Sandusky, Cedar Point, and Kellys Island.

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot over the years. We stayed in room 102 and immediately after walking in were hit with the awful smell of cigarettes and an overall old and musty smell! Every light was shorting out and there were stains everywhere from the carpet to the bedding. In addition when you turned the sink on there was a foul smell. The shower was filled with mold both on the curtain and on the actual shower handle. The room location terrible and right next to the lobby so there was constant noise and for as much as we paid for a riverfront hotel we were placed with a parking lot view which was disappointing. We went to breakfast one day and there were hardly any options of really gross food for hotel food even. Overall stay was a 0/10 and would not recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn. It was a very convenient location with beautiful views. Even though it stayed busy, it still seemed like it was quiet and we were able to get a good night's sleep every night. I like that breakfast was served till 10 am. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast area was always well stocked and clean. We plan to stay here again.

The room was nice and tidy. The best part was looking out the window at the view of the river. I chose this hotel based on it being on the river. My wife and I had a pleasant walk along the quay wall towards the lighthouse. Check in and check out went well. The breakfast was nice. Though or room was fine, what was displeasing was the ever present smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hallways.

Don’t do it.
The check in took like a half hour due to them being unable to find ours or our friends reservation. The room, elevator, and second floor smelled like stale cigarettes even though it’s a non smoking hotel. Curtains had brown stains on them like someones smoked in there for years.

Very limited to breakfast same items and no rotation. Fruits were never disposed of even if they were squishy and over-ripened. The sheets were not changed until after we left on the fourth day.

Comfort Inn River’s Edge is a very clean, well-maintained facility. The location is excellent providing front row seats for river traffic.

Nice place right on an inlet from Lake Erie. We arrived late on Labor Day and were just passing through.
It took a little while for A/C to adjust to our liking. The room fridge wasnt very cold and needed to be defrosted, even though there was no freezer. Run-of-the mill breakfast the next morning, sausage patties were barely cooked and eggs weren't much better. There is a good coffee shop about two blocks away.
Not a bad place, I'd stay there again if I ever have to be in that area for anything.
