We really liked the large and spacious room we stayed in for 2 nights. Everything was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed multiple trips to the pool and the two local restaurants very close to the hotel. Since we don't travel often, we didn't think it was necessary to thoroughly inspect the room ourselves. We were wrong. We were just charged $100 for a damaged blackout curtain that we did not break. It was damaged before us but we did not think to report it. Shame on us since the manager of the hotel sided with the staff checklist vs honest guests (manager stated someone had to be charged). This was a lesson learned for us, otherwise we had previously given a 5-star review. Again, the hotel was very nice but be sure to get out your fine-toothed comb and make sure nothing is damaged the moment you step foot in your room. This was an expensive life lesson to be learned for us.
