If you like to stroll through the markets, the Sanary market is available every Wednesday which is 5 minutes walk from the apartment. This market is voted the most beautiful market in France. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to discover the must-see sites that make the city famous, such as: \- the Plage de Bonnegrâce 4 minutes by car; \- the Phare de Sanary-sur-Mer 6 minutes away; \- the Village du Castelet 20 minutes by metro, and many more. I would be happy to answer. \## Emplacement Authentic fishing port on the Provencal coast, Sanary enjoys a privileged geographical location: 12 km from Toulon, 55 km from Marseille, 35 km from Hyères airport, 75 km from Marseille airport (Marignane), motorway exit Sanary/Bandol. San Nari is the Provençal name of Saint Nazaire, Roman martyr of the 1st century AD, to which was dedicated in the Middle Ages a place of worship on the territory of the present Sanary. Hamlet on the edge of the Mediterranean, sheltered by the seigneurial tower erected around 1300, Saint-Nazaire took off in the 16th century. The port of Sanary is recognized as one of the most typical and authentic on the French Mediterranean coast. Very old natural port, located in the heart of the city, it honors a hundred heritage boats, the oldest dating back to 1895, including the famous "pointy" Provençal. Sanary has always been home to a fleet of fishermen. Fishing reached its golden age in the early 20th century. Fishermen bring their fish back daily and sell it in the harbour. You can also appreciate the Provencal specialties such as bouillabaisse or aioli thanks to this local fishery. Village turned towards the sea, Sanary was also the refuge of the biggest names in German culture: Thomas Mann, Heinrich Mann, Klaus Mann, Erika Mann, Lion Feuchtwanger, Arnold Zweig, Franz Hessel... resided in Sanary-sur-Mer between 1933 and 1942. The esplanade of the sea, lighthouses, jetties... all walks that offer picturesque views of the port and the village. \## Transports From the Ollioules - Sanary-sur-Mer station: 4 minutes by car. Environnement :Nous avons été informés - quelques jours avant notre arrivée, de la proximité du logement avec une garderie. Sur place, il s’est avéré que l’espace extérieur de cette crèche était mitoyen avec la terrasse du logement : donc TRES bruyant une bonne partie de la journée.2\. Le logement :Le système de climatisation ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avions choisi cette location notamment sur ce critère. Nous avons échangé avec notre référent local - Mr Laurent Jany qui a relancé le système via le tableau électrique et l’appareil n’a fonctionné que 20mn. Un spécialiste est venu et a confirmé que le compresseur (installé à l’extérieur) était défectueux, et qu’il allait contacter la propriétaire pour le changer … nous n’avons plus eu de nouvelles et n’avons donc pas eu de climatisation de tout le séjour.3\. Plaque de cuisson :À notre arrivée, la plaque de cuisson ne fonctionnait pas et une système de plaques chauffantes de camping était branché en dépannage. Mr Jany a rétabli le fonctionnement de la plaque en agissant dans le tableau électrique (voir photo).4\. Salle de bains :Branchement non conforme et dangereux sous le porte serviette électrique et sèche cheveux hors d’usage (voir photos) ##### Aline E. Séjour de 10 nuits en juillet 2025
