The apartment was quite well furnished, though we felt a few important things were missing: no kettle (we already knew that from a previous review, and took our own), no scissors, no mugs, no hair dryer, no information sheets on places to visit, nearest shops/doctor,pharmacy etc. The lady in the tourist information office in Menaggio was very helpful. There were a few early teething problems which Guido sorted out - telly not working, dodgy electrics for the microwave, front door lock very difficult to operate, no plug for sink, no adapter for coffee machine. And you have to get used to the fact that the living room is directly below the owners' bathroom. And we discovered on the last day that the bed mattress was in a disgusting condition (had we found that out on the first day, I suspect we would not have been happy to sleep on it!). We recommend the lakeside walk from Cremia Vito to Musso, and thoroughly recommend a meal en route at the lakeside Laguna Beach restaurant in Pianello. A nice day out was the trip to Tirano (less than 2 hours away) to catch the Bernina train - stunning! Villa Carlotta and its lovely gardens is another 'must'. ##### steve w. They even lent us some butter when we forgot to buy it! The apartment is nestled behind an old stone building up a winding road past a Medieval church, but with all modern amenities. The moment was sipping coffee on the porch as the clouds cleared, revealing a stunning view of the Dolomite mountains towering above Lake Como. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Lovely views over the lake from the balcony, friendly, helpful owner and almost everything you might need. I say almost, because personally I was missing a kettle. But it's no problem for coffee enthusiasts as there is a coffee machine there! The apartment is situated on a side of the hill so the views are stunning day or night. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Die Wohnung ist sauber und geruchlos, obwohl sie als Raucherwohnung ausgeschrieben ist. Was mich überraschte war die hohe Fremdenverkehrsabgabe (4 Personen 35 € für zwei Tage). Wir können die Wohnung sehr empfehlen! ##### Barbara E. The balcony has a view to Lake Como. The view at night of the village lights across the lake is beautiful. A great location on the west side of the lake.
