Located 4.5 Miles North of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye's bustling little town, this beautiful beachfront home offers tranquility, comfort, security and privacy; with stunning views of the Belize Barrier reef from the spacious interior of the home. This is a 2-story home: the upper floor has 3 bedrooms including a master suite with a queen bed and private full bath, second bedroom with queen bed and half-bath and third bedroom with queen bed and full bath. The Master Bedroom has direct access to lounge room and sundeck. Third bedroom has a private veranda access. The lounge room in the upper level is equipped with folding glass doors which open up to the sundeck offering an almost unobstructed reef views. The lounge area is perfect for private celebrations with your group, day views and enjoyment of the Caribbean sea and breeze, or enjoying the nighttime view of the starry sky. The doors are equipped with an electronic shutter system to provide full privacy and shade at the touch of a button whenever needed. The lower level has a spacious veranda with seating furniture, living area with smart TV, dining area with large custom table to seat 8 persons, full kitchen and a full bathroom. The fourth room is also located downstairs with queen bed. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for making a meal or having a private chef over to prepare a special meal infused with local flavor. Washer and dryer closet is located in the lower level bedroom. Casa De Bonita is also just a 15-minute golf cart drive from the popular Secret Beach. Golf carts are the preferred means of transportation on the island and rentals are arranged by our helpful Guest Services team. SECURITY For added safety and peace of mind, a security is available on a nightly basis. Casa De Bonita is also equipped with an alarm system. FAQ How do I Get to Casa De Bonita? A 15-minute local flight from the International Airport, on the mainland, to our island is the easiest way to get to Ambergris Caye. These flights are available hourly. Local flight rates vary from season to season. Transportation from San Pedro's airstrip to Casa De Bonita can be arranged with our Guest Services team, at an applicable cost. Our Guest Services team will book your local fight and coordinate transportation from the local airport to Casa De Bonita. Do I need to exchange USD for local currency? Belize's Currency is Belize Dollars. However, US dollars are accepted everywhere at a rate of 2 BZD for 1 USD provided the currency is not damaged (is torn or has writing on it) Should I pay with cash or credit card? Keep cash for small local purchases. Small businesses and street vendors may only accept cash. Most restaurants, grocery stores and gift shops, however, accept credit cards. Visa and Master Card are most commonly accepted but Amex and Discover are also accepted by some places. Is there anything I should about traveling with children? The activities and tours are family oriented. Children can experience the same great adventures. The U.S. embassy advises that If children are not traveling with both parent's, the U.S. birth certificate of each child may be requested by immigration officers along with a notarized letter from the other parent granting permission to travel. Adoption documentation and death certificates may also be requested where applicable. It is advised to check with the U.S. embassy and have all documentation in order prior to arriving at the U.S. international airport from which you will depart from. ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS Pack plenty of environmentally safe sunscreen and natural bug spray. Ambergris Caye is a sunshine paradise, however, since Belize is close to the equator, the intensity of the heat is more than most are accustomed to. Mosquitos are not uncommon especially after having rain. Attire is very casual. Light cotton clothing help to keep cool. Sandals, slippers, sunshades, and sunhats are recommended. Pre-booking is highly recommended during the holidays to secure the accommodations you desire. The property manager said she would get us coffee, but it didn't arrive so we bought some at the store (no problem); but then the coffee was delivered at 6pm the following night and we were billed.A toilet had a slow leak which caused the water pump to turn on every 15 minutes, and the house security system beeped constantly in the guest bedroom due to a low battery. The property manager said she couldn't do anything about the low battery, and sent someone to repair a toilet (it wasn't the leaking toilet so we needed to shut all the water valves to the toilets at night).Overall it was a great vacation, the property manager perceptively did as little as possible to correct issues. ##### Daniel J. We had a delightful time at Casa de Bonita. It was a beautiful setting with our back porch looking out over the beach and ocean. I would absolutely book this again. The one thing that made it not perfect and I gave four stars was if you ran out of paper towels or toilet paper, there were no extras. You had to go to the office and buy them. For the money we paid it just felt like they could at least provide an extra roll of toilet paper and an extra roll of paper towels. Séjour de 7 nuits en octobre 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Jason W., Houston, US 6 août 2022 Points forts : Propreté #### Excellent house and management staff My wife and I stayed at Case de Bonita in August 2022 and had a wonderful time. The house was very nice, easy to keep cool even in August with about 5-6 air conditioners throughout, and just the right combination of complete privacy and security comfort of having Indigo next door. The management staff was super helpful in arranging transfers and helping out wherever necessary. The view is excellent but as others have noted, be aware that this is not really a beach entry type of place which is pretty common on the east side of the island. The house is about 1-1/2 miles north of where the road stops being smooth which can be an issue depending on the people in your party but is as convenient to secret beach as you can be without actually being on the bay side. The only other point to note is that the Indigo amenities are no longer offered to Casa de Bonita as mentioned in some of the pre-Covid reviews so worth keeping that in mind. I would recommend making arrangements to have access to kayaks for the house as it is just fantastic to row out towards the coral reef stretching across your entire view in the mornings and is such an impressive highlight of any visit to Belize! ##### Jason W. It looks exactly like the photos, big and spacious. The kitchen was well-kitted with equipment. There is a little grocery with everything you could need for breakfast and snacks, just around the corner from the property. The staff were kind and helpful. The only weird thing to consider is one of the bedrooms you walk thru to get to the other bedroom, so we put the person who sleeps the latest in the furthest bedroom and it was fine. Every bedroom has its own toilet. Three of the bedrooms have a bath. The bath downstairs isn’t attached to a room, so the walk thru bedroom can use the downstairs shower easily. Few little problems which Vladimir helped us with. Setting is marvelous although beach access is limited secondarily due to accumulated seaweed and an amazing amount of trash. Persistent wind was a bummer running 20 to 30 mph. Even so we had wonderful snorkeling aboard the Lady Leslie. ##### David V. Good location with access to dock, and beachy area. The staff of Indigo is so friendly and ready to help with every request. The pool area is large, luxurious, and very clean and well maintained. The house itself is tucked away so you feel you have the entire ocean to yourself. The kitchen was very well equipped but there were many delicious restaurants a quick golf-car ride away - John's Escape, Rojo, and Copa Cabana were our favorites. It was house was exactly as expected and we were greeted and escorted to the home beautifully! We really enjoyed the house. We had a chef cook dinner the first night, ordered groceries in advance, took advantage of the pool next door and went out on the SUP and Kayaks! We would definitely stay again. Everything is new and modern. This house is equipped with everything you need to make your vacation perfect. It’s nice and private yet there’s a store 2 minutes away. Secret Beach is also convenient to get to from Casa De Bonita. The property management was so helpful from start to finish. Jeorge was in communication with me from beginning to end. Jessica was there to help us with a few things while on site. Overall we all just had just had such an amazing and memorable time. The managers Jessica and George were very helpful and set up anything we needed from golf carts, tours, bottled water and any questions we had! North of town but easily accessible. Quiet and serene. Home fully furnished with most everything and many excellent kitchen essentials. A bit pricey, but spacious, clean and comfortable. Managed by adjacent condo staff, largely friendly and helpful. Only issue was sketchy arrangements by management on departure (scheduled taxi to airport never showed up and apparently never scheduled). No laundry facility, and none nearby. ##### G Alexander W.
