Sapphire Beach Resort sits on the quieter part of Ambergris Caye, surrounded by luscious palm tree forests. Many people pack a cooler full of beers and snacks for the adventurous ride up to Secret Beach. With smoothed roads, this stretch of beach on the western side of the island is a delight to experience. Or head down to the more lively town of San Pedro to experience the Belizean charm in restaurants, shops, boutiques, bars, and friendly locals.  
  
You are able to secure a golf cart to easily move around and get to know the island.  
  
Secret Beach is accessible via golf cart or land taxi.  
  
Other places to eat and explore are the beach that leads to town.  
  
San Pedro town is the busy part of the island, and you are able to purchase your groceries and visit local art stores, parks, and other popular tourist places.  
  
Let us know if you would like to arrange mainland adventures or snorkeling/beach BBQ trips. We recommend a snorkeling trip to Hol Chan for a signature Belize stay.  
  
Our on-site restaurant, Gem, readily provides guests with local and international cuisine at the restaurant or around the pool area. Ask for room delivery if you prefer.  
  
Tiki Bar is also open daily to mix you a tropical drink or your favorite cocktail.  
  
A beach vacation goes well with a relaxing massage, try for yourself a massage of your choice on the beach or on your balcony.  
  
The following terms and specials will apply to all weekly and long-term reservations.   
  
Weekly reservations staying more than 7 nights will receive a 10% discount.   
  
Long-term reservations staying 28 nights or more will receive a 30% discount.

We loved our stay here!! The property is beautiful - they offer kayaks, canoes and bicycles for your use. There are three pools on the property - all of which are very nice. Unfortunately, there is no shade at any of the pools. The restaurant on the property is open all day. We had dinner there twice and the food was delicious. Be prepared for "no-seeums" which were quite aggressive while we were there. One member of our party was bit up quite badly. Although we had bug spray and Benadryl, we learned the best defense against them is baby oil. So I would suggest bringing that with you. Take advantage of the shuttle to/from the airport - $100 round trip for up to 5 people - it was money well spent. We also had the shuttle stop at the grocery on the way to the resort which was a lifesaver! Would also recommend renting a golf cart - which is the easiest way to get around on the island. It was arranged for us through the resort. It was at the property when we arrived, and they had it returned after our departure. The website states the property is 10 miles north of San Pedro Town - via golf cart it's a 35-40 minute ride. Secret Beach is a 30-35 minute ride. Within a 15-20 minutes golf cart ride there are a number of bars and outdoor dining spots - both north and south. We hope you enjoy your visit at Sapphire Beach as must as we did!
