The restaurant on site puts out some seriously tasty food. Only drawback is that the property is about 30 min out from San Pedro, so you will need a cart if you want to leave the hotel at all. This property also has it's own dive shop on their pier which is super convenient for booking reef excursions, just be aware that they book up fast and well in advance during the busier months. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They all know your name by the first day and are genuinely happy to have a conversation with you. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were great sizes and private. We loved hanging out by the pool and walking along the beach. The tour company on the dock was incredible as well and very flexible to your needs and schedule. We enjoyed the smaller and quieter feel you get when staying up north. The resort is about a 35 minute drive from San Pedro, but that was a plus for us. The hotel offers pick up and drop off to the airport and will help you rent a golf cart or call a taxi. They made it very easy for us to explore and get around the island. It was too pretentious and overpriced. We went in early October, off season, and it was very very empty, probably had 3-4 rooms only rented out. The mosquitoes and no see insects were horrendous. The bungalows are just fabulous - look out over the pool then the the water. Can't swim in the water due about 6-8 feet of seaweed from the beach into the water - which is very smelly mostly in the mornings. This resort is about a 30 minute golf cart ride away from anything. It far exceeded our expectations for the write up from the travel books. The food was exceptional at the restaurant and reasonably priced. It was very nice having all the water activities, such as fishing and diving and snorkeling right on the resort pier. The pool was very beautiful and the setting superior with all the wonderful palm trees and beach. The sunflower room was exceptional.
