Everything that the hotel had control of was fine. The only problem was some of the other guests let their kid run up and down the halls for an hour or more. This happened around 9pm. Other than that, it was fine.

I won't stay there again.

Super 8 is a cheap motel. Water didn't drain. TV remote control was not working. Breakfast coffee was terrible. Don't expect anything.

Cheap Hotel

Posted 5-Apr-2017
Cons: Customer service and update rooms.
I booked this hotel through Expedia and tried to cancel within the hour-you CAN NOT. I went to the hotel in person and the man who runs it was VERY rude and claimed he would be billed by Expedia so he would not cancel it. Expedia called him and tried to cancel for me but got denied. The room was dirty, the ceiling in the bathroom had water damage with pieces hanging down and the whole room is old and worn. Motel 6 has much nicer rooms and people.

Staff was rude and the continental breakfast consisted of stale pastry, a loaf of bread and horrible instant coffee machine

Road trip to see Cal Poly and a concert

Posted 24-Feb-2017
Pros: good value - I appreciated the morning coffee and waffle.
Hotel was clean and staff courteous. The floor tile construction in bathroom were installed improperly and were popping loose. The wall in the bathroom showed signs of the wall leaking into the inside wall. I saw water damage. (Rm 22?) They need to get a good handyman in there to do window or exterior sealing or they will be paying a lot of money to replace instead of repair.

Definitely a budget stay

Posted 21-Feb-2017 on Hotels
Our stay began with a beeping fire alarm. I called the front desk and they promptly came and took a look at it. However, they left without saying a thing and it was still beeping. I called the front desk and they said if it didn't stop in 5 minutes to disconnect it and throw it in a drawer. It was a simple battery change, but they either had no batteries or weren't going to get any new ones. Not a great start. The pillows provided were pretty horrible, kind of like the pillows they hand out on long distance flights. The iron in the room didn't work and neither did the coffee maker. Something must have been wrong with the water heater or the pipes because everytime we used water there was a "thump thump, thump" sound that kept repeating. Certain channels on the TV were grainy, making it look like you were watching a really old black and white film. Breakfast was waffles, cereal, stale scones, and wheat toast. For what I paid I was expecting better. I was not expecting hotel quality, but I did expect things to work properly and to have a working smoke detector.
