Love the location. Rooms very dated and run down. extreme water damage to the storage cabinet with undercounter refrigerator and television stand. Wood so frail ot was falling apart. Window shades worn and filthy. Door closed with dead bolt but felt unsafe and unsecure as there was a huge gap in the door seal. Toilet had stains, tub fixtures were lose. Surfaces didnt feel clean, found a hair on counter. Floor hadnt been vacuumed thoroughly. Found candy from previous guest (not ours) on floor. Grounds seems unattended. Pathway was stained. Looked like someone spilled paint and it was not properly cleaned. Upstairs path seemed unstable and could fall apart at anytime. path covering indoor/outdoor floor covering old and weathered. Garbage, boxes and soiled linen bin blocked downstairs pathway for most of the day. Pool area and deck not clean. green algae growing in the corner from wet weather. Water level very low in spa. such potential for the glorified motor lodge. Definitely needs some love and maintenance. Michael was friendly at the front desk, other than that didn't seem like anyone really cared about this property. Will not return or recommend.

This is our second time staying at the Spyglass Inn. The staff is always so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The restaurant serves great food. For breakfast I highly recommend the crab benedict with the sautéed spinach and fresh fruit. The all you can eat Dungeness crab on Tuesdays is amazing. We will be back.

We’ve enjoyed staying at this property in the past but are very underwhelmed by the amenities and condition of the rooms now. The carpet felt kind of dirty like it needed a good cleaning… one of the legs to the bedside table was broken, complimentary breakfast isn’t offered which is okay but there isn’t even a microwave in the room. We listed 4 people staying in the room and only two pool towels were provided. Not big deal breakers but it all adds up. Overall, the staff and location are great but the rooms and amenities are just okay.

Only problem was housekeeping ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door…twice in the same day. Everything else was amazing.

Really disappointed in this inn after seeing the online pictures & reading the positive reviews. Our upgraded partial ocean view room was horrible. The carpets were so dirty with holes cut out of them, the bed uncomfortable, no heat & the partial view no existent. Our view was of the parking lot & the roof - not sure how hotels get away with these descriptions. The price was insane for this inn. Be aware that there isn’t an elevator so if you are not fully agile don’t book here.

This hotel is located on a strip of beach that is accessible down a long staircase. There are several hotels along this street. The room we had (basic) was spacious and had a recent cosmetic update but there were many things that were lacking. No microwave in room (there's one in the lobby), small fridge that was barely cool and had a thick layer of ice on the back wall, no freezer compartment, bathroom sink had no hot water despite running the tap for several minutes, there was no A/C and heat unit built in, just an ancient wall heater, room located in a short outside walkway facing a wall. It was clearly the least desirable room on the property. If we had been staying more than one night we would've upgraded as there are lots of rooms with better locations in the property.

We were looking for an ocean front property during our weekend wine tasting and beach combing adventure. Spy Glass was just the place we were looking for. Staff was very attentive, recommending local restaurants, providing extra pillows, even prepared s’mores kits we could purchase to use at the outdoor fire pits. Ocean cliff side views and a great hiking trail all in all just what we needed for a quick restorative weekend

Checked in around 7pm on Mar.1, front desk were great, very nice and informative. We only stayed for one night, paid for a late check out to sleep in but ended up leaving early anyway due to the noise and stomping coming from the room above us. When we went to check out with the morning front desk staff, they were very monotone and seemed uninterested with their own lives. My husband walked in and all they said was "Are you leaving?" and grabbed the room key then continued to look down on their phone. Oh, and the shell across the street doesn't have gas. I typically only like to leave positive feedback but the annoyance and negative energy from a one night stay was too ignorant to ignore.

The location is great. The bed is comfortable but the counch is not. Wish it had a microwave in the room. The refrigerator was off or broken so the leftover food i had over night was bad.

The views were stunning. Having a fireplace and a sliding door opening to a beautiful porch was such a treat. We fell in love with this hotel and are already planning how to make it back to there from Toronto soon.

Check in was easy and the woman at the desk was friendly and informative. The grounds on the property are very pretty and well maintained. There’s a short walking path on the bluffs and fire pits that line the path allow you to sit and enjoy the view and stay warm. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the fireplace but the bed was too soft for me.

Our stay was good. Only thing the people next to our room had a dog and barked throughout the night and the chairs in the patio area were stained and not appealing to sit in at all. Other than that it was good.

We had a great time in a full ocean view king size room at the Spyglass Inn with a balcony. The staff was excellent and our room was very clean. We would definitely return. We even got upgraded to the room we ended up in, from the partial view room we had paid for.

Truly comfortable beds and pillows here, The curtain was hanging down lopsided and I couldn't get it closed properly. Closet doors off the track and hard to open. But the sleep was heavenly! Would def recommend a stay here
