Great place to stay.
This is a great place. Quiet, away from the crowds with great views, yet minutes away from Morro Bay and restaurants within walking distance. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. I will definitely return.

The staff and accommodations were fantastic. What I will say is that the Back Bay Inn made up for Expedia’s mess up. I will never trust Expedia again with my booking and accommodations.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views.
Fabulous setting overlooking Back Bay. All rooms had a wonderful view. Welcome drink in the bar next door was a lovely gesture. Would love to stay there again.

A bit of heaven on earth.
Great location for a peaceful and serene experience. Saw some of the best sunsets during our stay. The Inn sits at the edge of the Bay and surrounded by a beautiful garden. Such a quaint little village surrounded by a wonderful neighborhood. Walking distance to the Sweet Springs Preserve.

Beautiful location
The hotel is in a beautiful location with lovely grounds. The staff were friendly and it was all very clean. My only complaint is that the bed was too hard!

It was very clean but it is quite "dated" in decor. The toilet is very low and difficult for older people to use. The management was friendly and helpful. The seats in the Blue Heron were uncomfortable but the food was very good. The breakfast was tasty and ample.

We only planned to stay two days- and we hated to leave! The setting was so beautiful, the town so quiet, nature trails all over, and a great host hotel. If you like being off the beaten track? This is perfect!

If you're looking for a quiet getaway with a fantastic view of the Bay where the service is fantastic, the breakfast is healthy and tasty, and the sense of local community is wonderful - this is the place. We will keep coming back when my wife and I just want to "get away"

A little heaven
Upon checking in, we knew we were in a special place. Anne was so so gracious and warm and did her best in ensuring our stay would be special. Upon learning we were celebrating our 30th, she went out of her way to make sure we would begin our stay by "popping open a bottle of bubbly". The room was large, airy with a spectacular view of the floral covered grounds and wide open Bay. A 5 star experience throughout!!!!

Great hotel - clean, cozy, beautiful!
I had a great stay at the Back Bay Inn! The location is prime for walking around Los Osos, the grounds and garden are absolutely beautiful. The room was nice and so clean, and had a small kitchen set aside in another room with a refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen sink! Even a futon! The breakfast is from a little restaurant just across from the main office and is great because you have choices as to what you want (frittata, 2-egg scramble, bagel, pastry, etc.) One of the greatest things, though, may seem minor to most but major to me: the toiletry products! Oh my goodness, actual Charmin toilet paper? And Kleenex brand tissues? I have stayed in some really nice places that have really cheap toiletry products, so this was a very welcome surprise. I will definitely be visiting Los Osos again down the road, and when I do, I won't even think about looking anywhere else. I'd love to come and stay during time when I can hear some of the live music. It

Great view.
Staff was very accomodating. The room had a great view of the back bay and front garden through the large window. The veranda porch had lovely large rockers and view of the back garden. The flowers were blooming and very pleasant to see. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The breakfast vouchers offered a nice celection at the cafe. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. Will return again.

Beautiful setting right on the Bay
Location location location. This is a beautiful spot on the bay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms could use updated but they where are very clean and spacious. I will definitely stay at this place again. Great breakfast and walking distance to some good eats a local bars and brewery

Bay views and quiet comfort
Right on the water near restaurants in quiet Baywood Park/Los Osos about 2-3 miles from Morro Bay town. On flat terrain and convenient to lots of outdoor and scenic locations. Motel style accommodation, clean, helpful staff. Was upgraded to corner room with a great bay view (building is undergoing partial renovation) and breakfast was served at Cafe next door. Good value and comfortable.

Excellent Inn Close to Montana d'Oro and Morro Bay
We had a terrific stay despite rainy weather. Excellent Inn close driving to Montana d'Oro and Morro Bay. A birdwatcher's paradise from the Inn's window - and the surrounding area. Great included breakfast everyday at the Back Bay Cafe. Complimentary coffee in the morning and good wine/snacks in the evening, with beautiful places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Several good restaurants and drinking places within a minute walk. Highly recommended - my wife and I will stay here again soon.

Great B&B right on the bay.
We wanted to stay right on the bay and found this beautiful B&B that is literally right on the bay. We faced the bay and opened our French doors onto a small private patio to enjoy quiet morning sunrises and beautiful sunsets. Step out from our patio and we could sit in lounge chairs on the lawn or walk the path to the water. This inn is perfect for couples/adults wanting to reconnect or just spend quiet time to get away from it all. Since this inn is in Los Osos, away from the embarcadero in Morrow Bay, there was no tourist traffic or noisy restaurants -- just beautiful views in all directions -- yet dining and shopping is just a short drive away. We will definitely return to the Back Bay Inn.

I will return . The best place to watch sunrise, sunsets and the tides. It's a quiet cove only sea birds, kayaks and sailing dinghies. Talk about a room with a view . It was stunning from my top floor window . Large rooms, comfortable beds, large bathroom, fireplace which I used every day. The cafe adjacent to the property has the best pastries and is obviously a favorite with locals . This tidy property has the personal touch and says welcome immediately. Located along the foreshore of Baywood facing south west, There are nooks and seating outdoors tucked in amongst beautifully maintained lawns gardens and decks. There are ground floor rooms with private seating and two second floor balconied rooms facing the lake and sand dunes .

Relaxation!
Nice place to stay for relaxation. Nice room with a view of the bay, nice patio in which we put our kayaks. Relaxing stay! The only downfall is only restaurants near hotel. Need to drive a short drive into Morro Bay for any shopping or any nightlife.
