Puntas Marias, is one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in San Juan, getting around is easy by either walking or car. If you rent a car, the villa offers a car-port with two parking stalls but the area is easily walkable to restaurants, shopping, beaches, and nightlife. FULL DESCRIPTION This property is designed for guests seeking tranquility and not for groups looking to party or events. Villa Doncella Street lays on 12,000 sq. Foot lot and is a 2500 sq ft mid-century villa, completely private, double gated with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a wonderful outdoor living space with your own private pool and Jacuzzi. Each bedroom is equipped with a brand new mini-split air conditioning unit, and there are also brand new air conditioners in the living and dining room. We recently updated all the furniture and 5 Queen Beautyrest mattresses with high quality pillows and linens. Located in Puntas Las Marias, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in San Juan, getting around is easy by either walking or car. If you rent a car, parking is free as the villa offers a car port with two parking stalls. If you do not plan On renting a car, the area is easily walkable to both sides. To the east, Isla Verde, just 3 blocks away and to the west is Ocean Park and Condado which may take you around 15 min walking to Ocean Park and 25-30 minutes to Condado. Puntas Marias has a small rocky beach 3 houses down from the villa, otherwise it is a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest main beaches depending which direction you walk in. Just 10 minutes drive from Luis Munoz International Airport, Ocean Park and Punta Las Marias - Dividing the Beach Resort areas of the Condado and Isla Verde, Ocean Park and Punta Las Marias are beachfront residential neighborhood with probably the prettiest and most low-key beach in San Juan. The beaches are wide here, and the sun beats down on the beach longer because there are few large condominiums. It's great for windsurfing and kite-sailing, games of paddle ball and body surfing. The tree-covered streets are filled with beautiful suburban homes, a charming mix of Malibu, Spanish, and Caribbean influences. The white, arching Ultimate Trolley Beach delineates the border between Ocean Park and Punta Las Marias. Adjacent to that, the neighborhood of Santa Teresita, with its share of equally stunning residences, has an equally nice park, Barbosa Park. The park is usually filled with soccer and basketball players. There are tennis courts, a baseball field, and a track, which are always a beehive of activity. The beach disappears into a rock formation at Punta Las Marías, which is a gated community open to pedestrian visitors during the day. But unless you're a windsurfer or surfer using one of the neighborhood's famed launching points, your experience of the beaches are mostly in Park Boulevard st., a 5 minute walk from the house. Another interest lately are the string of fine restaurants along Calle Loíza, right before it turns into Avenida Isla Verde. Isla Verde- just steps from the Villa, Playa Isla Verde basks in its reputation as the Copacabana of Puerto Rico. this broad, mile-long wedge of sand that lies to the east of Punta Las Marías is an undeniable beauty. Serenity seekers may prefer to dodge the extended families and colonizing spring-break hedonists that stake space here and head west to Ocean Park beaches. Condado is one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Puerto Rico, and offers resorts and guesthouses right on the beach for tourists. The beautiful oceanfront Window of the Sea Park is at the center of the area; it opens onto the Atlantic Ocean and is fronted by gleaming townhouses and luxury towers, home to glamorous residences, restaurants, and designer fashion stores. These include Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo, luxury condos, and Budatai, one of the island's best restaurants. The former La Concha has opened next door and luxury condos were built in the former Vanderbilt hotel nearby. Luxury hotels and more modest guesthouses fill the sector, as do wonderful restaurants of all types. First of all, check in was not smooth. My party was given the wrong code to get in. We finally get in and we were unimpressed with this property for the amount of money they charged. The pool was dirty. Next, the house was NOT clean. There were dirty pots in the kitchen put away. The dish washer has mold in it. The stove does not work properly and most of the writing by the control knobs is worn off. The sliding door in the dining room does not close all the way and we felt unsafe sleeping in there at night because the house is not secure. Next, the bedrooms ( with the exception of the master bedroom) had low uncomfortable squeaky beds with flattened uncomfortable pillows. The bathrooms were dirty, toilet and showers needed to be cleaned. The showers still had someone's hair in them and the toilets had rings in them. I have NEVER stayed at a property that required this much cleaning... Next the walls in the bedroom all need to be plastered. There were bubbles in the paint and it was damp in those areas. One of my staffers sat in a chair on the final day we were there and it broke. The host sent a message the day after we left to accuse my party of breaking into closets (that had no locks). We had to look for towels, face clothes, pillows and blankets since they did not leave enough to accommodate.Hosts house is unsecure and they had other people on the property doing work prior to our arrival (house is old and worn) ##### Tyquana R. It was a group of eight of us, including some couples, and everyone was able to get their own room, which was the best part of the stay. The place is very spacious, has air conditioners in every room, which are a huge plus, has a great pool, has laundry facilities, which were amazing to use during the trip, and the walk to the private beach was so easy. The location is also great. It is in a private neighborhood but coming in and out was extremely easy. I would definitely stay here again and it made our trip to see Bad Bunny unforgettable. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this property. Maybe only downside was having to clean up a bit more than usual compared to other properties but thats pretty much it and the fact we had to be a bit quieter due to the neighborhood but in all honesty, those are very small things that did not take away from the experience at all!If youre looking for somewhere with lots of space, privacy and awesome places to hang after exploring PR, this is definitely a great spot to pick. ##### Oscar G. It was perfect. The kids swam each day in the warm pool, and the adults enjoyed the restaurants nearby. It was centrally located to Old San Juan and easy to access other locations on the island. There was a little delay because we requested early check-in.- The amenities/rooms were perfect: spacious living room, well equipped kitchen, appliances, very nice swimming pool and jacuzzi with comfortable lounging chairs. Ample dining & sitting rooms. And last but not least a laundry area.- There was some great information left in the Welcome Packet. It was lengthy, so some things we found on our own.Some things that could have been better:- In an effort to follow the instructions in the welcome packet, we ensured all lights and A/C units were off when we left for the day. There was a light in the sitting area we could not find the switch for. We couldn't figure out how to turn off lighting on the master bed headboard which came on automatically. Adding labels would assist in finding what goes to what. - In the master bedroom, the linen needs to be replaced ASAP the fitted sheet had been used too many times been used too many times where the sheets now has beads.- There was the scent of an animal when entering the front and sliding doors. Furniture and/or drapes possibly need odor neutralizing.- Water leaked on the first bathroom floor when showering.- Leaving the gated community at the end of the stay was a little confusing. Possibly because we got an extended stay, but we had to have a resident open the gates so we could depart.Overall, everyone really enjoyed themselves at the property. Even though our flight was delayed, Edgardo - our property liaison - was very cooperative and accommodating. We were able to enter the property without issue even though we arrived much later than expected.The Villa itself is very nice. There were plenty of bedrooms for our 5-person family, and every room had its own AC unit to keep us cool and comfortable. The towels and linens were fresh and clean, and the facilities were also clean upon our arrival. The pool was the highlight of the property and we spent hours at a time relaxing in the warm water. With the Villa being in a private gated community, we felt very safe during our stay.One worthwhile note is we happened to travel when the entirety of Puerto Rico was suffering from power outages. On one night, the whole island lost power for over 8 hours. The property had a backup generator which ensured we still had power and, more importantly, AC to keep us cool throughout the night. What a relief!If you are looking for a nice place to stay while in Puerto Rico, with plenty of room and accommodations, in a safe neighborhood while still being relatively close to the markets and Old San Juan area, we highly recommend this location! ##### Irina C. Great location! Our family of five had plenty of space to spread out, and the out door area and pool were a major highlight. More impressive than the house or amenities, was the communication with the property mgmt. An issue that was pointed as soon as we checked in was immediately handled, and they were in constant communication during a 24hr island-wide blackout.
