A luxurious, spacious one bedroom apartment overlooking the beautiful Condado beach from the 7th floor of Condominium Stella Maris, located between the Marriott hotel on the east and the La Concha hotel two blocks down the beach on the west. This 581 square foot space has an open concept living room/dining room/kitchen layout in front of a wall of windows facing the ocean. On a sunny day, or even a rainy day, the view is amazing! In the living room area there is a 50“wall mounted flat screen cable TV and a DVD player. ( Wifi is provided free of charge.) And, although the apartment is best enjoyed by two guests, it can be expanded to accommodate four as inside the sofa is a full size pull-out bed. The ceiling fan adds to the comfortable tropical breeze that blows year round. The sound of the ocean might lull you into an afternoon nap but blackout curtains are also provided for a good night’s sleep. The kitchen has a 4 burner glass top stove and oven, a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker. It is fully equipped with plenty of glasses, silverware, pots and pans and utensils. And while the dining table in front of the ocean side windows seats four, there is room for three to sit at the kitchen counter to have breakfast (or maybe cocktails) with the chef. The bedroom is a Master Suite with a walk-in closet and an attached bathroom. There is both air conditioning and a ceiling fan, as well as blackout curtains, to insure a comfortable sleep in the king size bed. Also a 40” flat screen TV for when you just want to relax. All linens and towels are provided including a back-up set in case you might require it. In the closet there are beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and a small cooler to help you enjoy your time spent in the sun. In addition, there is a hair dryer in the bathroom and a back-up small supply of toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash should you forget to pack them. The condominium is security conscious. There are discrete cameras monitoring the public areas. Special keys are required to enter the property and the front door. Each floor has a separate key for the elevator and another key for the fire stairwell to ensure both security and privacy. Then you have the keys to each individual apartment. There is a coin-operated laundry room on the ground floor. A designated space in the parking area might be available ($20 per night) when arrangements are made at booking time. There are also several parking lots nearby, including at the hotel across the street. The neighborhood is an eclectic combination of tourist shops and upscale boutiques, fast food places next to local food restaurants, a world class restaurant in the Vanderbilt at the end of the beach. Walgreens and a local drug store are on our corner and a well-stocked grocery store is about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive away. There is a gym within walking distance. Tours out on the island can be arranged by the concierge desk at the hotel next door. Wind surfing, jet skiing, deep sea fishing, zip lining, a visit to the rain forest and scuba diving are all available. A 5 night minimum stay is required and the calendar is updated daily. The beachfront location is unbeatable, with restaurants, attractions, pharmacies, supermarkets, historic sites, and tourist spots all nearby.Kayaking, snorkeling, and tours are within walking distance, the airport is a short drive away, and El Yunque rainforest is within an hour. This condo is located in the Condado area of San Juan with great retaurants and shops about a block away. Since it's on a side street that ends in the ocean, it's very quiet. We loved our stay and our, host, Jo, was helpful and welcoming. We visit San Juan about once a year and there is no doubt, after staying in so many places, that this is our favorite and we look forward to staying here again. ##### Suzin A. The condo also has beach accessories such as towels, chairs, a snorkel mask, and sunscreen to use. The bed and pillows are very comfy. The bedroom gets a lot of light in. I recommend a sleep mask if you're a light sleeper like me. The condo is very quiet. You can't hear. The waves or traffic, or people, unless you have the windows open. The only negative comment I have is that the shower has lukewarm water. The host is very accommodating and very communicative. She lives in the building. Our flight was delayed 2 hours. We got in late, and she stayed up until we got to the condo and took her time to walk us through the condo, amenities, share recommendations, etc. Lastly, we felt very safe at the condo. It is very secure with a couple of security steps in place. The area around the condo also felt safe. We walked everywhere. Great spot. I highly recommend staying here. The apartment had amazing views, location, and Jo was the best! She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and requests. This apartment is prime location and very quiet and safe. The view could not be more amazing and the apartment is located centrally in Condado walkable to many great restaurants (our favorite was santaella). My favorite part of the stay was opening all the windows and having the ocean breeze fill the room. The host Jo is extremely responsive and knowledgeable of the area having lived here for 25 years. We had an issue with the tv when we first arrived and she went out a bought a brand new 65 inch tv within 2 hours. One thing to note is the elevator did stop working a few times so make sure you are able to walk 7 floors of stairs if needed.Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely return. Jo, was responsive and friendly. The unit was true to the pictures but a little more “worn” than anticipated. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable. It was so nice being right on the beach and next to so many convenient stores and activities. It is a very walkable area. I was able to walk to the lagoon for some morning kayaking as well as set up a pick up and drop off right across the street at the Marriott for a sunset cruise. Jo was very knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, and honest about any potential issues that needed to be addressed. I will definitely stay here again. ##### R M. This property is just as it is described and located directly on the beach, with beautiful views from the condo. Jo met us upon arrival to give us keys and answer any questions we had. She was available throughout our stay for questions but stayed out of our way otherwise.
