You are most likely not going to need to rent a car. If you are staying for a few more days or if you are looking to explore the island, consider renting a car as taking taxis outside the San Juan area can be expensive. There is Uber available in P.R and taxis have flat rates within San Juan, no meters. Expect to pay around $12-$20 for each cab ride. If you rent a car, the place includes an assigned free parking spot so no need to struggle to find street parking. If you stay past your check-out time without approval, you will automatically be charged for the next nights’ stay at the listing’s full price. CANCELLATION POLICY – Review the cancellation policy that applies to your reservation. SMOKING-This is a non-smoking property. This includes vapes/e-cigarettes and hookas. Breaking this rule will result in a $300-$500 additional charge and potentially the additional cost that is incurred by losing the next guest’s reservation because we cannot eliminate the odor in time for the next booking. A smoke sensor installed in the unit notifies us of smoking inside the property. There are no exceptions to Cannabis even with a license. Incense and candles are also prohibited. CLEANING-Our cleaning fee is based on a courteous guest (e.g. someone who cleans up after themselves, cleans dishes, takes the trash out, leaves the place as they found it, etc.). This is NOT a hotel; it is a vacation rental. If the housekeeping crew discovers an unreasonable mess post-checkout, we will charge an additional fee of $100\. Any bodily fluid stains on linens or furniture will incur in additional charges beginning at $25 apiece. LOST KEYS OR GARAGE CLICKERS- Cost to replace the following items: Electronic building key fobs $75 each, lost garage clicker $100 each, building/apartment keys $150 each. Please keep them safe. PROPERTY DAMAGES INCLUDING LOSS: During the reservation period, all damages to the home or negligence resulting in damage to the property or building or loss of contents will be paid by the guest no less than 24 hours after check out. This condo has one thing and one thing only going for it--the location. It is just steps across a dead end street to a gorgeous beach. However, this is a run-down unit in a building that is far past it's glory days. I am mostly disappointed because of the misleading listing. There were basics I expected that were simply missing. The listing advertises room for 6 people and a fully equipped kitchen. Imagine my surprise to find 2 bowls, 3 spoons and 3 forks for our booking for 4 adults. There were no dish towels or even any rugs in the whole place, despite what you may see in the photo. It is 100% bare bones. The kitchen countertops are cut and peeling and the cabinets are not in good shape. The washer/dryer is shared for the floor and requires payment. There is no balcony, only a railing across the sea-facing window. The window by the dining table was covered with bird droppings and was so gross. There were nice bath and beach towels provided but only one hand towel and no washcloths. There were a number of other issues including a non-working refrigerator. In fairness, the owner did try to address these with limited success. Upon request, I was given a very small discount for our inconvenience but I am so disappointed in this property. I booked it anyway, with recommendations from friends that Isla Verde is a great location. The unit itself was very clean and had everything that my 2 kids and I needed. Amazing view, and it is directly on the beach. Much cheaper to stay here than at the nearby hotels. Very safe. Easy commute to rental cars, airport, and centrally located, so we were able to explore the island easily. Would stay here again. ##### Patricia D. Waking up to the ocean right outside our window was a dream, and the location was perfect for a relaxing beach getaway. Unfortunately, the condo itself didn’t live up to the view. It felt outdated and in need of some serious TLC. The kitchen was lacking even the most basic essentials, making it difficult to prepare meals. To top it off, one of the beds didn’t even have covers, which was a disappointing oversight. If you’re here just for the view and don’t mind a bare-bones stay, it might work for you.
