Thus hotel has the most beautiful lobby, it makes you feel like you are in the glamorous era of the 20s, there are lots of activities at night and the staff is real nice. However, room are not in good condition. My bathroom had mold in the ceiling, my mom’s rooms bathroom also had problems with the shower door, my cousins also has problemas with the bathroom and the a/c was not working properly. Overall all the carpets in the property seemed a little dirty and the overall state of the property I don’t think it was up to part with the price of the room per night and all the extra charges. I have stayed here twice and I don’t plan on staying again. Like I said the party at night is a lot of fun but just not worthwhile in my opinion.

The staff was generally not very helpful or prompt. A number of times we asked for assistance, namely for an umbrella when it was pouring rain so we could walk to dinner from our room, and we never received a call back or the umbrella until we came to the front desk and asked. We walked our bags across the property to the front of the hotel with a member of the staff walking right behind us and never offered to help us.They double charged me for my final bill and the front desk told me “they couldn’t help and I would need to talk to accounting”.

My husband and I were part of a large group who traveled hours away to celebrate a close friend's milestone birthday. We were given a room on the third floor right by the elevators which was already a concern due to a prior experience. The day went fine; however, we were not able to sleep until 4sm due to the extremely loud noise from the hotel's nightclub. We asked to switch rooms that morning but received the 'we are fully occupied' excuse. The hotel was not because there hardly anyone at the hotel. We went back to check later in the afternoon and even spoke to the manager about our situation. He told us that he will do what he can and would call us that evening. We heard nothing so what happened that night? We were up until 5am once again to the loud thumping sound from the nightclub below. We addressed our frustration to another manager the next morning whereby she finally moved us to the 6th floor where it was 100000 times more peaceful. We loved the entertainment at the lobby the most but will not return to stay at the Fairmont ever again. Horrible experience and horrible staff!!!!! Stay away if you want any kind of relaxation or quietness!!!!!

Fairmont el San Juan resort the property does not tell the customer that they charge you a $100 a day deposit so if you stay here they charge you a $ 100 daily for being there however many days you book for incidentals. I ask the front desk person why don’t let Expedia know about the desposit thing so the customer can be aware she stated it’s a hotel thing I was lik on because I don’t think I would of stayed there because holding that much money for a deposit is crazy after we already paid in full so we though we only had the little $200 resort fees left even though the money will be returned to our card it was jus the point because my card set off a fraud alert an I didn’t know what was going on because I thought I was being charge for jus resort fees an the one $100 desposit not a $650.00 desposit on top of the 1500.00 we had already paid for the trip so I was a little taken back we stay in a king room on the 5 floor the hallway was very stale an so was the room housekeeping never vacuum the hallway at all there was a fork from another room in the hallway for the whole four days we was there it was crazy cause there was housekeeping on the floor daily but they never pick up the fork off the floor jus continued to walk pass it the pool an beach was amazing that was the best thing about my stay here let me not forget to tell you about the 27.86 daily parking fee every time you leave you have bring your ticket to have it validated
