This was a fantastic hotel: unbeatable location next door to the major grocery store and within walking distance of multiple restaurants. The room--an apartment--was extremely large and comfortable. Many Mexicans from other parts of Mexico come to vacation here, so you know it's a local gem!

This was a very affordable place with a ton of space! The apartments suites are quite big, and they’re located on a golf course so it’s gorgeous with ann excellent view of the beach as well. Will be coming back for sure!

Enjoyed my stay here. It had everything. Clean and affordable. Only thing I didn’t like was no elevators to the 3rd floor. Be ready to haul your luggage up the stairs.

Good property for the price! Located near shopping, restaurants, about 3-4 blocks from the beach access point. Free parking. Pool is not heated so no-one was using it in early Feb. Room is dated but pleasant and useable. Exterior pathways could benefit from attention. I'd stay here again.

Will definitely stay again!

I was unsure at first because it was too easy, really affordable and didn't ask me to pay before my stay, But the SM Apartments are attached to Santa Maria Hotel and provided all of the convieniences of staying at the hotel and the comforts of home. Lined along a golf course, the view from our private balcony was serene. The apartment was spacious and clean. If you will need an iron, you will need to check that out at the front desk and I would have brough some kind of streaming device because the TV channels are in spanish (of course... Mexico), and I wasn't in the mood to practice my spanish. Will deinitely stay again!

This hotel was next to perfect! We had a fantastic patio with golf course views, a great pool, the staff were wonderfully friendly and prompt with requests. Super convenient next to the big grocery store, a beach, and a fantastic taco spot that we went to twice (Lateral). The one and only downside was that our wifi was very poor and we mostly had to use data, the hotel was unable to provide us with an alternative working network. For the price we paid though and the great experience otherwise we both agreed it was a minor inconvenience.

It was a nice big unit, but we booked a unit with a view of the golf course and got a unit with a big concrete retaining wall behind. No view. There was construction noise all day too. The pool was cold and not heated. Lots of seating around it try though to relax. Big grocery store right across the street which was great. The TV only YouTube worked. The lock on the rear patio door was half hanging of the door. It did lock but didn’t give the best sense of security as the property is not fully gated and secure. You can walk in off the sidewalk.

You get what you pay for, it was a good price

Entrance door needs a deadbolt lock only has a passage lock . Not secure at all. No dish soap , no tea towels , curtains falling down , two bath towels one had bleach marks and the start of holes in it , one hand towel only , one pull out sofa never used, one swing chair, excellent by location to shopping and excellent walking, noise from adjacent units ie tvs carries

We did not get the room we booked which was a disappointment as we had a view of a wall. Not sure how that got messed up. They brushed me off when I tried to deal with discuss with them. Our patio door handle was broken so the lock barely held on. There were 3 of us in room but only allowed 1 key. We also had tiny bugs crawling all over the kitchen counters and in the closet so we were unable to cook or leave anything sitting out in kitchen. For us getting the apartment was so we could do cook etc. The pool was fine. It was quiet except for over the weekend when locals seemed to take over. The grounds were nice. Enjoyed the relaxing vibe on quiet days outside.

SJD's hidden gem

Hidden gem of San Jose Del Cabo. A 2br apt with a pool for spring break season for less than half than others? No brainer. This isn't the Hyatt, so set your expectations accordingly, but the apartment has the essentials. The AC didn't work in one of the rooms, but there's one in in the living room that helps cool the air in that one. The hotel is right across the street from a supermarket that has everything. I would recommend buying any alcohol bottles you plan to take back with you from there, unless you just want to support a small business, which there are tons of around. Laundry can be done with their washing machines for a fee, though you'll need to provide your own detergent and dryer sheets. Water pressure is not great, and takes around 30 seconds to a minute to get warm. Decent WiFi, at least 8Mb upload speed though I didn't test it without a VPN so it might be faster. 65" TV in the living room, most all kitchen/cookware you'll need and dishes. Just 10-15 minutes walk to the really fancy hip expensive area in SJD. Also 10 minutes drive (on the back road) to get to the downtown area with the beautiful art walk they have on Thursdays. No hot tub, but you really don't need one here. The pool is great and very relaxing to swim in our lay by in the sun. I uploaded pictures of the apartment because I saw none on Hotels.com, so I was halfway expecting it to be a scam for the price. Pleasantly surprised and I will absolutely seek this place out to stay again.
