This charming suite is part of the Mahogany Hall Boutique Resort, an seven-room mansion surrounded by swaying palms and other lush jungle greenery. Reach the resort easily from the capital of Belmopan 29 miles east, enjoy the distinct global character of San Ignacio three miles east, and plan easy day trips to Cahal Pech (four miles east), Xunantunich (10 miles south), Actun Tunichil Muknal (22 miles east), and other renowned Mayan ruins.

    Built in 2009, this riverfront resort is an ideal blend of modern amenities and old-world Caribbean charm. Begin each morning with complimentary tea and coffee, a dip in the shared infinity pool or the nearby Mopan River, and a comfortable seat on the resort's deck or patio with an engrossing novel and a deck of cards. Spend your days touring Mayan ruins, soaking in the sunshine on one of the beach chairs, and preparing the shared charcoal grill for a barbecue feast (please note that this suite does not have a kitchen). Beautiful location and gracious hosts

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mahogany Hall. The staff is incredibly friendly, the view of the river is incredible and the accommodations are lovely. If you don’t mind a short drive into San Ignacio, the tranquility of this place is ideal. It’s off the beaten path and yet still close enough that all four of our tours picked us up at the hotel. Highly recommend!

Mahogany Hall is a bit off the beaten path but worth it. The river views, clean rooms, and exceptional service are worth the extra 10 minutes outside of town.

Very lovely place

Lovely hotel on the river. But the best part was Jose and staff. He/they did everything possible to make our stay special. I think the bedding could use an upgrade, but all else was perfect. Rico’s restaurant on site served excellent food.

Beautiful property with amazing staff

The property is absolutely beautiful with views of the river and access to water. Rooms were clean and staff took extra care to fold towels and lay flower petals in words on the bed. The staff is remarkablly kind and attentive.

Beautiful Views on the River

Room 3 needs a new and better shower head. It took about 20 minutes for the water to heat up. The television only had one channel and the hotel attendant never came to see why the remote did not work. Also, it would be nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room because there are no near by restaurants and the taxi's are expensive with inconsistant pricing. The hotel restaurant may be closed when you're hungry. The hotel grounds being on the river is beautiful and the hotel also has a pool which is nice. But the room rate did compensate for the lack of amenities.

Loved it!

I cannot express enough how hospitable they were. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. The view along with the roar of the river was amazing. . Our hosts and the entire staff made us feel welcome and helped us book our day trips. It’s a little diamond in the rough and a great location for all that Cayo has to offer.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had booking a place online

End to end wonderful service. Great location. Only stayed two days. Could’ve stayed a month. The staff and the owner are who I really want to brag about. You know, it makes a huge difference when the staff is constantly checking in to make sure that you have a good experience and they did that here. Friendly, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Zen place by the river

This place is amazingly beautiful. It's overlooking to the Mopan river, and just by sitting at the bar tools watching the river puts you in a meditative place. The hotel and the room also has a highly aesthetic style. Special thanks to my concierge Vero who suggested the place during my stay in San Ignacio.
