If you want to visit the south of Corsica, you are ideally located here: The cliffs of Bonifacio, the needles of Bavella, the beaches of Palombaggia and Santa Giulia, the forest of Ospedale ... Many natural sites to explore to come back in the evening to enjoy a barbecue with family or friends on the terrace of your perfectly furnished cottage. On the mountain opposite the cottage, the Castello d'Araggio stands like a rocky point. This prehistoric fortress dating from around 2500 years BC is accessible by a hike that will reward your efforts with the discovery of a preserved site and a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio and its surroundings. Only 7 km from the most popular Corsican town for visitors to the island, you will discover a little corner of paradise where the charm of old stones blends with the relaxing atmosphere of the garden. Here, the owners, who have a taste for quality and authenticity, will welcome you warmly and will be both available and discreet. They will give you access to a magnificent heated swimming pool, which will allow you to swim and relax even if you stay there during the cooler periods, before or after the summer season. The cottage is carefully decorated to preserve all the charm of the place and perfectly equipped. A few kilometers from the property, the Castello d'Araggio stands like a rocky point on the mountains. This prehistoric fortress dating from around 2500 BC is accessible by a hike that will reward your efforts with the discovery of a preserved site and a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio and its surroundings. About forty kilometers away, you can discover Bonifacio perched on its famous limestone cliffs. On the sea side: the famous beaches of Saint Cyprien, Palombaggia or Santa Giulia which have made the reputation of Porto-Vecchio are within your reach. On the mountain side, there are also mythical places available to you: the Ospedale, the Col and the Aiguilles de Bavella and more broadly this region so typical of the Alta Rocca. Built in the mid-19th century in the heart of the village of Araggio, the purpose of La Casette, a "small stone house," was primarily agricultural: it served as a shelter for day laborers during vineyard pruning or cork harvesting, and as a shed. Passed down from generation to generation, in 2007, La Casette took on a new life: its owners decided to create a gourmet stopover on the trail leading to the megalithic site of Casteddu d'Araggio. To achieve this, the building was enlarged, and in a spirit of integration and respect for the environment, local stone, old beams, and original tiles were reused. Following the same approach, the terrace was enlarged in early 2009\. It now overlooks the verdant valley, enjoying total tranquility between the shade of the old fig tree and the first rays of spring.
