"Weekend in San Francisco!"
We thought we'd try the recently renovated St Regis at the end of our cycling trip to Napa and Sonoma. Though only there for two nights, we couldn't have asked for a more luxurious spot. Arriving in jeans and looking quite disheveled after a morning ride, we were treated no differently than anyone else. Our check in was smooth, pleasant and our room was even ready early. We were even offered their private car service for dinner with friends the following evening. The pool is lovely and salt water. Breakfast is on the fourth floor, something we didn't find on our first morning because the information in the room directs you to the bar area in the lobby for coffee and continental breakfast. Loved the room decor. Simplistic and modern with all of the conveniences one would expect in a 5 star hotel.

"Lovely Hotel in the Heart of Financial District"
Enjoyed the hotel a great deal. Car drop off and retrieval from the valet was simple and timely. Had a room on the upper floors with lots of sunlight and plenty of space for two people. Charlie was friendly at the front desk, and the Concierge was helpful in giving ideas for dinner. My only complaint is that there were times when we felt a bit disregarded by some of the staff. Not that people were not helpful or friendly, it is just we noted that we had to initiate service (such as requesting a glass of champagne or a bottle of water that were given to other guests who did not have to ask).

"Beautiful location."
Very relaxing atmosphere, great location and helpful staff. The only negative experiences were at one of the retail stores where employees were busy chatting and quite unhelpful, and the lack of availability of certain items on the children's menu for room-service. However, the concierge went out of his way to procure the missing item from a restaurant downtown. Excellent spa and staff.

"Spacious luxury hotel in Fishermans Wharf"
Perfect hotel for a larger family or if you are looking for more space. Located at one end of the wharf, you are in walkable distance to most of the attractions. Cable car stop is only a couple blocks away. Hotel has a car service that will drive you within a 2 mile radius. (it is a free service, but always have a tip ready.) Will definitely stay there on our next visit to San Fran
