Club Quarters in San Francisco

424 Clay St, San Francisco - Map
"Central location, attractive price"
The hotel has an attractive pricing compared to other hotels in the area. The location is very good. The room is aging but not completely run down, the overall comfort level is low. Some nice facilities like drinking water fountain and USB charging and nice internet. Useful for a business traveller.

"1st class all the way"
Very nice place to stay. Treated us blue collar working men with respect. We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies rolling in but the were gracious. Wonderful stay, bed is awesome!! Food great, plenty of amenities. The fastest elevators I have ever been on, always an elevator with an open door waiting in the lobby. Nice walking area along the waterfront, a dock for boats. Not much more to ask for.

" I stay at Hilton Garden Inn"
our stay at Hilton Garden Inn was very good, we only have a small problem and that was with seating. One chair was too high and one was just right. Every thing else was just fine.

"Moderately Upscale Hotel Near Union Square "
Built in the 1980s, this well-kept, efficiently run hotel is adjacent to much of the heart of San Francisco: dining, shopping, theaters, and urban transit. While the lobby areas are immaculate and bright, I noticed that some of the furnishings in the rooms show signs of wear--furniture that should be replaced, for example. The members of the staff gave quick and helpful service, and it has a secure feeling in spite of the gritty urban surroundings. I have stayed here before and enjoy returning.

Park Central Hotel San Francisco

"Central location close to Union sqaure"
Nice hotel conveniently located in downtown San Fran. A stone's throw to all the major shopping labels. Close to public transport. Overall, a pleasant hotel but downsides are the mandatory "resort fee" ($25 per night) which you have to pay even if you don't want to avail of the facilities such as internet, gym etc. We ended up paying $100 for 4 nights for facilities we essentially didn't need. We were also placed in a room at the corner hence views were not great but it was quieter at night.

"close to piers/transportation"
We were in San Fran to celebrate my 65th birthday with our son. We had a wonderful visit, and was surprised that the atrium was torn down while we were visiting. Being that it was the week end before Thanksgiving was a surprise.

"It was fine, but not for $300+"
We dropped the kids in the city at my sister's and had a night away in Tiburon. Yay! If the room cost $230 or less, I would say it was awesome. But we paid over $300. Perhaps it was just really full. Even still - that's a lot of loot for a room that doesn't feel very much different than a well maintained best western holiday inn. The best thing about this hotel was the restaurant. We loved the breakfast. So that's a big plus. The rest of the experience was fine. As in OK. Nothing too wonderful, nothing too bad. They did give us a free bottle of wine and some meat & cheese (my wife is a vegetarian though) - which were waiting for us when we opened the door. That was a nice touch.
