"Good location"
It was just ok. Our room didn't get cleaned, bed made or new towels which was frustrating and our room service dishes were never picked up. But out front desk check in lady who helped us was very sweet and helpful.

"Great place to stay!"
This was a surprisingly nice place to stay. We liked the small touch welcome gift, was personal and made us feel welcome immediately. Think the only downside to the place was the bar area in the evenings. It seemed not capable of serving all the folks that were there. Only 1 server it seemed, we sat one night at a table in the bar area for like 20 minutes without being approached. And this was after I asked her up at the bar if they come around to the tables and she said yes. So I think some evening bar/lounge service improvement could be done. Other than that, really liked this hotel.

"Nice hotel near Oakland/SF, but parking charge"
Nice hotel near/on bay. Close to Oakland, San Francisco, and highways, and in nicer area, but be aware most of the bay area near SF has a lot of homeless. Newish, clean and one could tell the staff was trying hard to please. I would definitely stay here again. On the down side... Was not told that there was a $15/day parking fee until I arrived. While not unusual in a downtown hotel, this was not downtown and was not mentioned until we arrived. In addition, since I was there to visit my child, their car could not be driven to visit us without a parking fee unless she stayed less than 20 minutes (the complimentary maximum time), since there was no other parking in the area. Stayed in a double room and it was a little cramped, particularly around the desk. While the hotel was not cheap, it was one of the more reasonably priced, although the websites had one price in the adds and the actual multi-night price was higher in that the low price (in the adds) listed was wrong on the website and then the price did not apply for all nights of the stay, ie, some nights were much higher. Obviously the prices shown at the time of booking were correct, other than the parking and taxes were not added.

"Excellent spot."
Was very close to the trolleys, or just walking around. Staff was great. Took the time to answer our questions and find areas on the map for us.

"Birthday Weekend"
My husband and I had such a great time and when Terri at the front desk heard it was my birthday she upgraded us to the top floor and gave us coupons for complimentary drinks and a dessert in the lounge. The bed was so comfortable and the location of the hotel can't be beat.

"Convenience in Transportation "
The hotel is right in front of the Bart station, the Muni, and the F bus that goes all the way to the Fisherman Wharf. It's an easy walk to shopping malls, Union Square and a block away from tour bus routes. The diner across the street serves good food. Starbucks is right on the hotels first floor. The only negative that would really bother you would be that Market St is not well protected by the city that it smells urine from 4th street to 9th street . They need to hose it down or something.Otherwise it's all very good

"Good, not great. "
Phone didn't work. Main window in room opened all the way (which was great!) but was missing a screen so mosquitoes took up residence. Pretty quiet overall.
