Stay right in the heart of Mission Beach where all the action is and view the roller coaster from your living room window. Ideal space for a family of 4-5 people. Equipped with AC, a rare luxury in the beach area of San Diego. Garage for parking a compact car. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Just 2 miles from Sea World & 5 miles from the airport! Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego. We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay. Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is down the street on Mission Blvd about a mile away, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate. Please note, we charge a small nominal fee for luggage storage. Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area. The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. Plus Starbucks is right in your backyard. (Literally 50 feet away!) You could just take an Uber/Lyft from the airport (5 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 2 miles away. Recreational opportunities abound. There are several shops within walking distance that book excursions, or rent beach equipment including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. Additionally we can hook you up with surf lessons, either group classes or private lessons. What's more there are free yoga classes each day on the beach. Just let us know what you're looking for. We offer self-check in via digital entry. You will have private access to the unit so you may come and go as you please. There are no keys to lose, just a simple 4 digit passcode to remember. If your family likes action, this location is the best spot of all of Mission Beach. It is right in the middle of the giant roller coaster area and a block from the main lifeguard tower. It is positioned in the ♡ of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community on a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycle riding or walking. On the bay-side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home! This fun vacation rental is a second floor apartment. You have your own separate entry. The space is 624 square feet. The vacation rental features two bedrooms, one bathroom, cozy living room, and a fully supplied kitchen. There is a queen size bed in one bedroom and a bunk bed in the other bedroom with a twin on top and a queen on the bottom. The living room offers a sofa bed. The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and a Keurig coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws. The living room comes complete with a flat screen television. It is equipped with Internet TV with Roku, which includes live local TV and Netflix. Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and many other channels are available with your own login credentials. What's more, there is free WIFI and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in. This vacation rental comes supplied with all the basics you'd expect at any hotel like a hair dryer and iron. Plus you have a kitchen and living room to enjoy. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own home in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local. To orient you here are some distances from the home: 100 feet to the ocean 2 miles to Sea World 5 miles to La Jolla Cove 4 miles to Historic Old Town 5 miles to San Diego Airport 8 miles to San Diego Zoo/Balboa Park 9 miles to Gaslamp Quarter If you don't bring a car you will be fine. More than half of our guests have come without a car and all have gotten around quite easily. Restaurants, shops, and convenience stores are within walking distance. It is less than a 2 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, restaurants, bars, and shops. Uber cars are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate. Riding bikes along the boardwalk is usually the most scenic way to get around and take in the atmosphere. Beach cruiser bicycles are available for rent by the hour, day, or the week. They also rent surfboards, wetsuits, standup paddle boards and a lot of other fun beach equipment. There is also a bus stop that will take you to Old Town in minutes. Easy walk over to the beach and the pizza place across the street and Starbucks out the back door is awesome for convenience. The location is great when traveling with young adults as there is quite a bit for them to do close by without them needing the car. Beach and some little shops are with in a block. Several restaurants are walkable. Definitely go with a small vehicle as the garage is a tight park but it’s a place to park and those seem to come at a premium. We loved that the garage door shut and locked as did the entry gate to the complex. The condo was clean and cute and well equipped. You don’t need a hair dryer, kitchen had plenty of utensils and dish ware available. They supply a few beach towels too! Save some space in the luggage that way. Laundry on site is a nice perk but you will need supplies. It is a busy area during the day but quiets right down by 11\. Owners were super easy to contact for any questions. This is a great “home base” for all your adventures in San Diego. This was a trip to celebrate my son graduating high school and a last big trip before he and his girlfriend go off to college. The Starbucks next door didn’t really bother us, my daughter was the one sleeping closer to it, wasn’t an issue for her. The restaurant around all great food. There’s an indoor pool by Belmont park that is great for the kids. I would stay/ booked this place again. ##### korina r. Close to Belmont park but mainly facing an alley that was a little sketchy. Check in was a frustrating process. We were not sent the codes and had a fairly circular conversation with the owner about looking at the online manual that is sent via message and not hyperlinked..and also not inclusive of the information we were looking for. The apartment itself was clean however it had no basic items in the kitchen, no salt, no pepper. ##### Shelley L. Séjour de 2 nuits en août 2022 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Emily T. 26 août 2022 Points forts : Propreté #### San Diego by the beach My family was in San Diego for a baseball tournament and needed a place for over a week that would accommodate 2 adults and 2 teenagers ages 16 and 18 that was close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants. This VRBO was perfect for our situation. It was fully stocked, had beds for everyone with a nice kitchen and comfy living room. We had a rental car and we’re grateful for the garage below the unit. I was also happy to have access to the laundry room right below us because I had to wash baseball pants every night. The rental is kiddy corner from Belmont park and conveniently located next to a Starbucks. The only con worth mentioning is the upper bunk bed has a spring mattress that was uncomfortable for my 18 year old to sleep on. I’m sure a younger child would be fine on it but she opted to just sleep on the couch instead. You do hear a lot of what’s going on by Belmont and the shops and restaurants but was never too loud as to keep anyone from sleeping. ##### Emily T.
