Our stay was great overall. The best part is the location and its proximity to the beach. The apartment was good but definitely needed some upgrades. Clear ocean view which was wonderful. Unfortunately, the property is surrounded by bars whose patrons make tons of noise all hours of the night and early mornings so a couple of sleepless nights. Homeless camps and students drinking and getting high on beach and boardwalk. The atmosphere is perfect for a Pacific Beach vacation! 🌊 The beach is right out a secured gate! The staff is friendly and efficient. I love the kitchen area with dish ware, utensils, appliances and microwave and refrigerator! The bed was so comfortable and it was lovely hearing the waves at night! ##### Daniel S. Dishonest about the booking. They blamed expedia for advertising the room had an ocean view. After telling the staff the room was not exceptable. They offered a full refund. I accepted. They helped me find another hotel to stay that night. Nice room and amenities for a single traveller. It takes a key card to enter the property, so I felt very safe. There's a slice of beach view from the balcony, but access to the beach is only steps away, so I didn't spend much time on the balcony. The boardwalk is directly in front of the motel, so you have all the shopping and food right there. There's also a grocery and drug store less than a block away. I never had to drive anywhere. It was heaven! It was a bit noisy a couple of nights, but I kind of expected that, so it didn't bother me much. All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend my birthday!
