Last Minute Booking Policy: If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy. To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest’s face and holding either a Driver’s License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc. This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! Working with the beach rental company was not. We booked 8 months out. Apparently the construction that was scheduled for 2023 didn’t get completed. We were told 3 days before our vacation would start that construction would be going on in the house basement during the days we rented. 7am-5pm. And the back yard that they had would not be available for our dogs during those times. Vrbo at least got the construction stopped for us after hours of being on the phone. Can you image planes overhead and pounding in the basement? We never got to speak to the owner but the communication with the rental company has been less than acceptable. Take screen shots of what you rent, it’s the only thing I had that showed I was in the right in what I rented. The rental company tried to argued with me even after I showed them my screen shots. I hope the owner got all of the story. Again, the property is lovely. Mistakes happen but not taking responsibility for them and trying to really make it right is another matter. ##### Sharon S. Beautiful home, modern, light and airy. It was perfect for our family of 5 adults. Great yard to cruise in, 3 bathrooms were a plus, nice open floor plan. Everything was great, EXCEPT that there were no coffee pods for the Keurig. Even the most basic hotels have complimentary coffee! Why skimp on this when you have such a beautiful home? It really does NOT make sense. Also, the living room has an awkward set up. There is no comfortable way to watch the tv. Maybe get some chairs that swivel? FYI: my son found what he thinks are termite droppings on his bag that was in the living room. we think it may have come from the end table by the couch, closest to the shoe rack. Dishwasher is SUPER quiet and Washer/Dryer is super loud. ##### Christy L. The balcony has view of the downtown SD skyline. We love watching planes take off in the evenings during golden hour. Beautiful sight! The bedrooms are very spacious and the living area has super comfortable modern clean vibe. This is a very dog friendly environment with a beautiful well taken care of front and back garden. Our fur baby loves the gardens always sniffing at something. The neighborhood is full of paw friends too and makes the daily walks a happy experience. The bonus room is super nice and yes, is a "bonus" to have a quiet area with a large TV and comfy couch! The kitchen is one of the nicest and very well stocked we've had the pleasure to experience. Has everything you could ever need. It's the details that matter, and we noticed they had a new washing up sponge for us to use. All in all, this is a great vacation home and would highly recommend to anyone looking for something central to SD. Thank you for opening your beautiful home us to experience. ##### Eddie I.
