We live the location. It appears to be changing. Rooms were funky as usual. Things that appeared to be a problem (we had 4 rooms)no soap or shampoo in room, no regular coffee, microwave not working in one, tv was a problem in 2 out of 4. My biggest issue after coming here for 14 years was the paid parking. It feels like its under new investor type management as oppose to the family feel.

Homeless man sleeping on the beach a few feet away from tiny hotel room. Needless to say I kept the curtains closed all weekend. The “private” patio on the first floor is not isolated and people can walk through the back anytime with their pets. Many hotel visitors did not keep their pets on leases while they used the patio area so not the best place for reactive dogs or if you want your pet off lease. Beds were squeaky. Small television. Furniture in the room were repeatedly painted over. Lamp in the room was dusty and had mysterious stains on it. One clean towel in the room had a mysterious brown stain. Left my room the majority of the day and came back to no housekeeping.

Great place for pets. Unfortunately many do not clean up after their pets behind your room. WiFi very poor. Needs updating inside. Outside looks great. Smells like sewer in room

The room was large, comfortable, and clean. I loved the kitchenette. There was plenty of parking. Very close to restaurants and shopping, and the beach. Bear in mind that it's dog friendly, so it's not very quiet, but we didn't spend much of our time in the room anyway. It technically had a futon as an extra bed, but it would not have been comfortable for a bed.

The property was right on the dog beach which was great fun for us and our dog. Unfortunately, we had 2 upstairs neighbors who came in late and left for bike rides very early in the morning. They were very heavy footed and made banging sounds late at night and early morning. My wife and I and even the dog had interrupted sleep while we were there. Made our stay less than satisfactory..

I did not like that Expedia and property showed my a balcony with an ocean view room. When the actual booking came to my email, after I paid, showed park view, so the whole bait and switch routine and even after that not only was it not an ocean view, but not even a balcony. The picture on Expedia is not even a room available at the hotel, so book directly with this place to make sure you are getting what you thought you were getting.

The staff was awesome. The outside of the property is quite nice, but the inside could use some updating. The rooms were very dark - need brighter bulbs or more lights! Great location, especially if you are a dog person!
