Easy check in and out. Parking is a plus, particulary in this area, and while it is a bit tight for standard size vehicles it is far better than trying to find street parking. Traffic on University is a bit heavy at times, but you don't really notice it when you are inside.The beds are comfortable. The HVAC system works well. The unit is well-furnished with plenty of little touches that made our stay more comfortable (e.g. kitchen tools, luggage racks, packaged snacks, laundry hampers, etc.). It was great having a dedicated parking spot (there are two poles right outside of the spot so parking a larger vehicle would have been a challenge). While the bathroom had a sewer gas smell, the drains worked well and a plumber might be able to resolve the issue before the next guests. Check-in/check-out was seamless and straightforward; the unit has a keyless lock for entry. Daniel (the host) was cordial, helpful, and available for any questions/concerns. Stocked with a few water bottles and snacks to get you by. Children's utensils and dishes available. Two small bedrooms with queen beds. Each bedroom has a TV and white noise machine. Beds are okay, had good sleep. For the beach: boogie boards, chairs, small ice chest, and kids toys available. Having a designated parking spot is a huge + The only negative thing I can say, which is not about the property itself - there's a "pothole" on the driveway next to the house. Every time someone drives by (which is often) it makes a loud noise. The parking spot was convenient, as was access to get around to major roads and highways. Inside, we appreciated movie nights on the couch and game nights around the dining table. The kids thought the LED lights in the fireplace was so cool! We had one rainy day during our stay, and it was convenient to be able to wash and dry our wet clothes with the in-unit laundry. Great space and decor. Property managers very responsive and experienced...no issues with check-in/check-out processes. Great hosts that accommodated me on a short notice. I was relieved to have a parking space too. The place was minimally and tastefully decorated. The condo had everything we needed, although we didn't cook during our short stay. I enjoyed the warmth and coziness of the fireplace. I will try to stay here again when I'm in San Diego in March '25\. The only things I'd change would be decrease the bright lighting in the bathroom, although it wasn't the worst (just very bright) and I'd tighten up the welcome instructions regarding access the front door code. It was a wondrous condo that I'd highly recommend folks check out. ##### June P. We’ve been to San Diego several times to see him and try different locations. This was an easy spot to get to Little Italy and other fun spots also walkable to other restaurants and places. Property was just as shown in the listing and worked well for the two of us. As others have said there is some traffic noise on the street in front but by closing the bedroom door and putting the provided sound machine on it really helped to minimize. It was in the perfect location near amazing restaurants, extremely walkable area, and had everything we could ask for. So happy we found this home and were able to stay!
