It’s like having your private beach in your back yard. Zephyr provided us with all the info we needed to have a pleasant stay. Parking is downstairs although a bit pricey. Overall hubby and I will definitely be coming back for a longer stay next time.

Great Ocean front property. Overall relaxing and comfortable. Stayed in Ocean front room, like many times before. $$$$ There now is plywood covering the front instead of the old tiles which you could sit on deck and enjoy the ocean views. Very disappointing.

Didn’t see that it had a daily resort fee and parking fee. It wasn’t too bad but hopefully that can be included in the price up front. Beautiful location, great restaurant, and friendly staff!

Loved how staff was helpful all the time never did i see an attitude or inconvenience from them loved everything about this place totally recommend it,its in a nice area parking was a little spendy but for the convenience it was worth it if i ever come back around this town definitely staying here again

location is good..property is dated for the price we paid. Rained for two days. Had leaks in main room and bathroom. Staff very friendly. Shuttle to local areas was good (part of daily fee)..restaurant and shops around corner was key as hotel did not have anything to purchase besides restaurant

Great vacation spot right on the beach. Easy (but expensive) parking right onsite with come and go access. Room was a little dated but we don't spend much time in the room so it was perfect for us. We got a rollaway bed and it fit our family of 5 very well. Staff was very accommodating with all of our requests and the Shores Restaurant onsite had some of the best food during our trip. Our kids have already asked to go back!

The view is really pretty but the spa is pretty small for a hotel that big. The bar area closes at 9 which seems pretty early. There is no late check out or gift shop so if you need something you have to walk to the village or take the shuttle to CVS. It was nice but think I would like to check out a different place for comparison.

We were in room 130 which I highly recommend. The balcony has a partial ocean view and is out further than the nearby rooms so you can see easily. The patio is perfect with two chairs and lots of space. The restaurant has very good food and we ate outside with heaters at night. We were able to make a same day reservation for 7 people. Great hotel! Chairs, umbrella and towels on the beach were great! They even had transportation to nearby restaurants.

This place was wonderful and quiet! There were lots of kids but well managed and respected rules. Easy access to the beach and market. Loved our patio view of the beach where we could sit and watch the sunset. Staff was wonderful, courteous and attentive. Can't wait to go back.

This is our second time staying at this property. Having a kitchenette is convenient. The grounds are nicely kept. Although the rooms are clean they need updating. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are gas fire pits in the courtyard for the guest to use. Restaurants are within walking distance. There is also a market close by. The hotel is overpriced but you are paying for the location. I would recommend the hotel and definitely would stay here again.

Pricey and not sure why it is a resort. Seemed like a regular hotel to me. No spa, no extras in the room besides the bathrobe. Was great to have a patio but the wooden poles were a huge obstruction. Wish happy hour was from 3-6 instead of 2-5. They sent texts saying there would be live entertainment at brunch but that has ceased two years ago. If I hadn’t had a training there I believe we could have found better place to stay for the money we paid

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. We loved the architecture and listening to the waves crash. It could use a little bit of updating but all in all we loved it and would stay again.

LaJolla Shores Hotel is a gem. We’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and courteous. It has a real family feel to it. Wonderful place right on the beach. I give it 5 stars and will always recommend it. Special thanks to the amazing people who work at LaJolla Shores.

A beachfront hotel... Need more be said? La Jolla is clean, comfortable, and has a great restaurant! Waking or falling asleep to the song of ocean waves is excellent. I appreciated the reassurance of underground parking as well. Even though doors are external facing, the area as a whole does feel safe. I was impressed the sliding doors for each patio have multiple locks as well. I would definitely return!

The location is the reason for staying. The staff was helpful and pleasant. On the downside, the property is dated, and needs a face lift. The shuttle service left us stranded at the Marine Room. The front desk clerk did compensate us for the inconvenience.

Needs an Update and more realism in room desc.
This hotel is a little long in the tooth. Paid extra for a view and basically had to lean over the first floor balcony and over the cars to see the ocean. The room as very basic and the service is mediocre. My wife has a disability and needed to get to the room. After struggling up from the parking garage and her needing to get to the room I had to go back down to the garage and put my parking pass on and was told, yes, I need to do it now! Room is basic and dated and the grout in the shower had a sickly grey color. Fixtures were loose and seemed about to fail. Overall I paid a lot for a view I didn't get to stay in a very blah room.
