To being with, a huge portion of the hotel is under construction. So there are limited facilities and restaurants available. My main issue is there is absolutely no communication whatsoever from the hotel until you physically get out to the beach and see signs in the sand - that the water is unsafe to get into due to sewage. A beach resort should disclose such information when you're making a reservation and certainly at check in.

Beautiful historic facility ! Extra daily charges to be aware of.. resort fee , historical fee, and $75/day valet park. $7 cup of coffee/self serve. Our room was beautiful and staff were always helpful and friendly. Would be nice to keep the hot tub open later for just adults to enjoy. Definitely recommend .. lots of interesting history to learn while there!

Perfect location and an easy walk to surrounding restaurants by the resort. The room was nice, spacious and the private fire pit was a plus. Can’t wait to return.

The view rooms supposed to be beachfront but very noisy and could hear bulldozers for several hrs on 2 days i was there. Not relaxing at all. Self parking they charge $55/night...ridiculous.

cost of goods was out of hand. $58 to buy 3 candy items for the kids and than asking for a tip on top of it was ridiculous seeing how I was at the market. Better places to spend my money. Valet service was spot on however

I'm an avid traveler and this is now one of my favorite properties! I had a room that walked out to the beach. It was amazing! I recommend this to everyone!

The property was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff was kind and welcoming. There are amazing shops and restaurants and plenty of activities. We would love to return!! Some feedback is to just be mindful that if you don't reserve an ocean-facing room in the Victorian building, you WILL get one that overlooks the huge trash area. Aside from the eye sore, it's loud in the morning. That should be made clearer when booking. Also the internet on our TV never worked, but we weren't there for that so it wasn't much of an issue.

Authentic feel. The room was clean but I didn't enjoy the amount of dust behind things like the TV nor having to prop a chair in front of the desk to keep the drawer from sliding open. Good food near by and ice skating was fun!

For what the hotel charges for room, resort fee, parking, food, etc, the rooms certainly need updating, carpet replacement, bathroom remodeling, etc. What is more bothersome is all the tourists and non- guests wandering around the property at all times. Guests cannot take advantage of the property fully due to tons of people wandering around, sitting on benches, in the grass, the entry way, taking photos, etc. Guests pay a lot to stay there and it’s like a carnival overrun with non- guests. Great property but some type of restrictions need to be imposed.

If you’re not staying in the main building, this is just a decent hotel in a very nice location. The room itself was pretty bare bones, very similar to a Hyatt place or holiday inn express. The discounted parking rate for guests is $55 a night. Service was excellent though!

Dell Coronado more elite than Ever
The Dell has changed , some for better some for worse. It is a great historical site/but I'm not sure that arbitrarily changing 15.00 for the historical fund is proper. I would give anyway, but I didn't see it until my bill. The Ice Skating was fantastic for families. The nightly entrainment with a single solo singer who was absolutely fantastic was worth the trip. We have been going to the Del for about 50 years and everything is getting more expensive, every time they renovate and add more rooms, amenities, the prices go up. So you have the day working and middle class visitors and those others who either have money, plan the vacation with savings or go into debt.But as anything in life this is a cost that middle class families can't afford and you must be a guest so it's an elitist upper end experience that is worth it if you can see it for those who can plan and the wealthy but the community gets the traffic and maybe they can watch sometimes, and maybe dream.

Not the best
The hotel is good but the amount you pay to stay is not really worth it. They stated that our rooms are queen beds but they were actually full sized which is not idea for a family setting. We felt like since we made our reservation via a third party we were set below the bar/standard of those that reserved through the Del directly. Overall we wouldn't pay the price again to stay there.
