It was okay for the one night we stayed. We had a city view that was actually really nice, as it also included a view of the harbor. The person who checked us in was super helpful and very pleasant.
Cleanliness: The hotel appears nice overall, but there was a weird white stain on our carpet, and surfaces that had leftover coffee or something sticky, which clearly meant they hadn’t been wiped down thoroughly. This made me question the cleanliness of the room in general.
Area: Just on the outskirts of all the action in little Italy. We were able to walk to most places in LI in about 10-15 minutes, although it’s mostly uphill from where the hotel is located. The hotel sits between a car rental place & a car wash. It can start to get a little sketch around pacific highway, which is where we were, but it wasn’t bad during the day by any means. As busy as the area can get, the room was surprisingly pretty soundproof, but I’m a heavy sleeper.
The bad: PARKING was a joke! Had I known what the parking situation was going to be like, I would’ve incorporated that into my budget when choosing a hotel, and likely would’ve opted to stay elsewhere. They don’t have enough room in their garage to host even one car per room, but they offer a convenient valet service for $50 (FIFTY!). If neither of those “options” works for you, to the streets you go. We were lucky to find free street parking down the block, but had to carry our bags to the hotel. Totally inconvenient.
