You will love this beautiful cottage. This cozy cottage is a stand alone house and, unlike many other beach properties, it is equipped with AIR CONDITIONING and a parking spot big enough for an SUV. A perfect 2-bedroom, 1 bath that is great for a family or small group of friends, or remote workers. WiFi is super fast! The first bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with 540 thread count sheets, feather duvet & pillows. The second bedroom has desk and a cute trundle bed that converts into two twin beds. Newly remodeled. The cottage was stripped to the studs in 2018 and has all new drywall, siding, and doors. The furniture and beds are new and very comfortable! The kitchen was remodeled in 2015. After an adventurous day surfing or paddle-boarding, you can come home to your YouTubeTV & Netflix so you won't miss your favorite show or game! There is also a small table and chairs outside so you can people watch with your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail-a beach staple. A car is helpful if you want to get to the farther attractions in San Diego such as LegoLand and the Safari Park or if you have a child that needs a car seat. Otherwise, the best way to get around is to use Uber/Lyft and Bird Scooters... Combining these services is fun and affordable! \*\*\*\*Please note before booking\*\*\*\* If you cancel your reservation at any time after booking, you will forfeit the credit card fees associated with your booking. Molly McCrackin grew up in San Diego and has been managing short term vacation rentals in the beach area since 2008\. The company has grown over the years, but the service and attention to detail has stayed the same. We are located in the center of Mission Beach with everything you need only a block or two away. (A large grocery store is about 1/2 mile away.) \-- 1/2 block to the bay \-- 1 1/2 blocks to the beach \-- 1 to 3 blocks away from a few amazing cafes and coffee shops. \-- 1/2 mile to Garnet Ave; which makes up the heart of Pacific Beach, where you can find great shopping, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, Trader Joe's, Vons, a 24 hour fitness, many yoga studios, and much more.. \-- 1 block to the nearest bus stop. \-- 1 mile to Historic Belmont Park where you can ride the roller coaster, eat some ice cream, and watch the people walk by as you enjoy a drink at one of the oceanfront bars/restaurants. \-- 3 miles to Sea World \-- 8 miles to North Park - The center of hip beer bars and breweries! \--Less than 9 miles to Downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp Quarter; which provide fun night life and more upscale restaurants and bars. \-- 9 miles to the San Diego Zoo and beautiful Balboa Park. \-- 9 miles to the airport and downtown Amtrak station. I provide an information booklet with lots of recommendations from local restaurants to some of my favorite hikes around San Diego... Unlike other rentals, there is a large parking spot that comes with the house (A huge plus in the summer months when parking is at a premium). It is so close to the beach and only took about 5 mins to walk there. It is also in close walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. The house was a perfect size for our group of three. The biggest upset was our discovery of many, many dust mites on our main bedroom tables. That means curtains, bed sheets, etc are not being washed, dusted and / or vacuumed properly. After seeing the cleaning lady go into the studio cottage next door and leave within an hour without washing linens or doing any major cleaning explained our cottages condition (which is owned by the same person / company). Lots of peeling paint, scuffs from shoes on doors, cobwebs, the place was a bit rough around the edges. The primary bedroom is a very tight fit. If the bed is moved over a few inches, the main door or bedroom door becomes inaccessible. There was a fire / carbon monoxide alarm that went off every 30 minutes. We had to deactivate it ourselves. Then we had trouble with the bedroom fan remotes so we had to resort to using the air conditioner. Trash pick up is early Tuesday morning so you will hear beeping trucks for at least an hour (not a big deal, just worth noting). The owner said the parking spot is big enough for an SUV, but it was tight and right next to our neighbors studio cottage. during our stay we saw one couple check out and a different girl check in. She was able to enter her cottage at 10-11am, which is very early considering the posted check in time was 3pm. That also made me feel slighted because we had an early flight in and it would've been nice to check in early. This was my first s ##### Aaliyah K. Such an easy, quick walk to the beach. Walking distance to shops, coffee and restaurants. The boogie boards were a huge hit and it was so nice to have bike rentals so close by. Parking might be a challenge if you have a large truck, but our midsize SUV rental fit perfectly. I didn’t realize when booking that it was a jack and Jill bathroom set up, but that worked out just fine. The neighborhood got pretty festive on Saturday/Sunday, but nothing that disrupted our stay. The property was well furnished and prepared, and the place was very clean. The place is on the smaller side, but it worked just fine for our family of three and all of our luggage. This cute little cottage is a mere few walking minutes from the beach and the bay. We spent some of our days hanging out at the beach, visiting some of the cute little shops, and eating and drinking our way through the many cute little coffee shops, restaurants and bar & grills within walking distance of the place. The rental is a cozy two bedroom that was just enough room to stop by for a rest in between our walks on the beach and trips around the area or crashing at night. It is cute, clean and beachy!!!! Molly was also wonderful to work with before, during and after our stay. Communication was clear and timely. She even remembered it was our anniversary and left us a sweet basket of goodies to celebrate!
