Set between Hillcrest & Mission Hills, our location is walking distance to countless coffee shops, restaurants, & bars. This charming home is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (w/kids), & even your furry friend! Come soak up the amazing year-round weather San Diego has waiting for you! The Space: Our beautiful home has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a walk-in closet. The living room has a sleeper sofa bed measuring 55 in by 80 in. There is an on-site XL Maytag washer and dryer available free of charge (shared with the tenant in the front house). The kitchen is fully stocked including gas stove and microwave. Bathroom has a tub/shower. Smart TV Portable air conditioner Coffee provided No parking reserved parking spot but parking is easy to find Guest Access: The entire back half of the property is yours including the private fenced yard. There is a front home that is separate and has its own yard. The laundry is a shared common space at the rear of the main house. The Neighborhood: Mission Hills and Hillcrest at 2 of the hippest neighborhoods in San Diego. Rated as the most walkable neighborhoods in San Diego with scores of bars, restaurants and cafes in close proximity. Plus you are mere minutes from the beach, airport, Balboa Park, Sea World, the Gaslamp, Little Italy and Petco Park. Getting Around: Rental bikes and scooters are plentiful for rent by the hour/day/week. Uber/Lyft are very active in San Diego Other Things to Note: For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month's rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement. Pets are welcome, though we don't allow cats in this property! Our standard pet fee is $150 (this may vary dependent on length of stay & type of pet). Please let us know if you will be bringing along your furry friend! Beach Equipment: despite the inclusion of snorkeling gear, we do not offer it at our rentals Interaction with Guests: We are a self-service destination (check-in details will be sent 3 days prior to arrival). The yard is fenced in and private so the dog could have some freedom. We cooked dinners and had all the pans and utensils we needed. The location is great, close to everything. My parents came to visit and with my apartment being too small to host them, I rented this cottage for them with the convenience that it's only 2 blocks away from me. It was absolutely perfect in every way. They raved about its comforts and charm throughout their stay. They wanted for nothing as it is well stocked with everything they could need. With it being tucked behind the main house it's off the street and private (and quiet). You occasionally pass the front house guests on the walkway but it was such a pleasant and easy experience overall. I was in town to visit friends but due to Covid ended up keeping pretty much to myself. I had my dog with me and we enjoyed exploring the Hillcrest neighborhood and the gorgeous canyon trails all around. Also visited the OB dog beach which is the best dog beach in the US. Got amazing Mexican food from La Posta a few times--the surf and turf burrito is divine. House was small and would be a tight squeeze even with 2 people but it was fine with one. Second blanket could use washing/dry cleaning, internet went out randomly the last couple of days, shower/tub needs modifications to be safe for older adults, would rather have a regular coffee maker than a Keurig. ##### John G. The Hillcrest area is a perfect location! We were very close to the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. We are artist and it was a joy to visit the San Diego Museum of Art. Additionally we discovered the art store “Artist and Craftsman’s” store and found art supplies that we have not found anywhere else. Deftly out the French restaurant “Au Revoir” - we had filet mignon and scallops were Devine! Parking at the rental was easy and the owners communicated very clear instructions on what we needed to know for managing a positive stay. We will consider this location in the future. The bathroom has a claw foot tub which was a challenge for me to get in and out of because I have had knee surgery in the past. ##### Nancy N. Aug 7, 2023 Liked: Check-in, communication, location Disliked: Listing accuracy #### Great location but not an accurate listing The rental was in a great location, close to local restaurants and 15 minute drive to most attractions and the beach. When we arrived, the rental was almost 80 degrees inside. There was a small window air unit that we immediately turned on. It was unable to cool the entire bungalow because it was only rated for 150 square feet. I contacted to property manager who eventually had a fan delivered that evening. This helped, but the living room was very warm for my children to sleep. Also, the wifi stopped working on our second day and the issue was not resolved. Although this was in a great location, I would not stay here again because of these issues. ##### Jessica D.
