It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. We arrived at 9 pm, exhausted after a 4-hour drive, and there was no room available, even though I had completed online check-in at 3 pm. The front desk clerk called another hotel to see if they had availability; they did, but at a much higher rate. I still agreed because of the time and because I was traveling with two small children. When I arrived at the second hotel, the receptionist informed me that they couldn’t honor the rate that was supposedly arranged with the original hotel. I ended up having to search on my own and make a new reservation at a different hotel, all of this after 10 pm with my two tired young children. When asked to be provided with a room that had all working utilities, I was informed that there were no other rooms like the one I had requested and would be provided a one bed room. I had previously requested two queen size beds and just one bed was not going to work. I was provided with a room that smelled like smoke and had to go back to the front office to inform them of the awful smell. The front office staff came to the room to spray some air, air freshener and apologized for the smell. The parking lot is way too small not enough room for parking spaces are small. You have to park in the underground parking lot provided by the hotel however, most of the parking spaces are reserved for something else besides the hotel. As for the breakfast, it’s very limited.
