Lounge on the deck and enjoy the sunset over Point Loma and warm ocean breezes. Watch Navy and cruise ships traverse San Diego Bay as one of the most active ports on the west coast. Marvel over the top of Heritage Square and its historic homes from the balcony. Walk to Presidio Park for a quick game of soccer or Old Town, the birthplace of California, for margaritas and delicious Mexican food. Also, very close to the Marine Corp Recruit Depot (MCRD) and we love hosting our military families. The bright and airy home has windows and sliding glass doors throughout every room overlooking spectacular views. Two master suites with large closets and ample space make it easy to travel with multiple adults, plus an additional bedroom with twin beds is perfect for children. The bathrooms have been newly renovated with a double vanity in the master bathroom, tub available in the hallway bathroom, and new shower in the second ensuite bathroom. The well-equipped home comes with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and comfortable living room, making this a perfect sanctuary to relax or a launch pad for an active family vacation. Families will love the close proximity of two neighborhood parks, as well as major San Diego attractions, including Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Mission Bay and Beach, Petco Park, Gaslamp Quarter and many more. Mission Hills is a very walkable community with coffee houses, restaurants, and shops close by. Conveniently located close to two freeways (I5 and I8), La Jolla, Del Mar, Legoland and the Wild Animal Park are short trips. Even Mexico is only 20 minutes! The Mission Hills Cape Cod is a non-smoking environment. Mission Hills is a residential area and parties are not allowed. Please note this is a single level guest area (1,500 sq ft.) at the bottom of our family home that requires approximately 12 stairs to access. The view of the city from the deck is gorgeous. My three boys (ages 9, 6 and 5) took great delight in watching the planes take off and land at the airport. The 3-bedroom/3 bathrooom space is beautiful and well-organized for comfortable living; the beds were cozy, the kitchen was well-organized for entertaining and there were plenty of towels/linens. Jaime is a most gracious and attentive hostess, who responded to questions promptly and communicated with warmth and clarity. We particularly appreciated her attention to seemingly small details such as including plastic kid plates/cups in the kitchen and a wonderful assortment of puzzles and games. The place is very quiet, private and felt exceptionally safe. Located in a delightful neighborhood that invited exploration, we cannot reccomend this place enough! ##### Margaretta S. We booked these accommodations 15 months in advance of our daughter's wedding, which took place at the Junipero Serra Museum, (in the same as neighborhood) in Presidio Park. The entire weekend was truly magical and the privilege of having this home to get ready in and come back to each night played a significant role in the magic! I couldn't believe when we arrived to find the primary bedroom had an huge walk in closet, with high ceilings and a clothing bar high enough to allow our daughter's wedding dress to hang beautifully!! The pictures of the outside balcony/patio in the listing do not fully capture how extraordinary the view and outside entertaining space is! I wish we would have had more time to enjoy it!! Check in is easy, views are great, patio is large with a table(covered), outdoor couch and ping pong. The beds are incredibly comfortable with air and heat ci trolled by bedroom. It’s on top of a hill so while old town is less than a mile it’s a hike up and down but the location is convenient to see a Padres game, visit the beaches, tour the sites and visit old town for a quick meal. It is the lower level of a home so they ask you to be quiet after 9or10pm on the balcony (not an issue for our group) and they provide extras in all areas. Definitely enjoyed our stay. ##### Pam L. Great view of city; centrally located, beautiful porch. Many instructions on how to park, clean etc but worth it given quality of accommodations and location. Lots of steep steps to get to accommodation and no problem for us but if someone was older or disabled could be a problem w luggage and climbing. People who own home live above lodging and have a dog that you can hear scurrying - again no big deal. It’s a rare and beautiful place in San Diego and would absolutely return. ##### Laura M. Our first time visiting San Diego and it was very easy to get to the Zoo, Petco Park, Little Italy, the Harbor and many other attractions. The home was beautiful. The views were stunning. We had a van as a rental and we were concerned about parking but we didn’t have a single issue! The owner was very friendly. They took the time to introduce themselves via message and when we saw them one night they said hello and asked if we needed anything! They left instructions in the home for the property. They had plenty of supplies in the house such as toilet paper and soap. Many rentals leave only one roll. I would stay at this location every time I visited SD.
