Overall, the stay was very comfortable and made me wish we had booked a longer stay. Obviously equipped for an extended stay, the room was complete with fridge, stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. I'm pretty sure my own kitchen isn't as stocked :P. We had a (sidelong) view of the beach and walking there took just a few minutes. For my morning run, Pacific was accessible for beach views the entire way north to the harbor and partial beach views south to Carlsbad. Dozens of shopping and dining options were less than a mile away with two markets literally across the street. Parking was inside a small shared garage with plenty of space. We are planning another stay here soon.

I really enjoyed my time this hotel. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice. They always speak and ready to help when you need something. I love the hot tub it was very relaxing and peaceful. The hot breakfast was also good. The presentation of the food was good and the selection is great!
We stayed here only one night but it was very nice! We were upgraded to the suite for only $10 (normally $20) because we got there early for check-in and the manager was going to call us when the room was ready, instead he called and offered the suite for only $10 more. Very cute room, simple yet clean but had kitchen supplies and a little dining room table. It is right next to the office which is a bit odd as when you walk out of your room, the office staff is sitting right there, but not a huge deal. Cute, clean and small hotel a block from the beach. I prefer this over a large hotel. And the lady working in the office the day we checked out was super nice as well. Just all around an easy hotel stay. An the pool was nice and it also had a hot tub.
We loved our stay and the comfort of the room. Staying at a studio ocean front we had a very spacious room, with amenities a such as stove and sink. A very cute balcony where we could Watch the waves and sea lions hanging out on the cliffs. The room was clean, bed is very comfortable, and staff went beyond to accommodate a change on our schedule of snorkeling with a local shop. That for me was the extra thumbs up. Sometimes something small like this is what makes the big difference. Definately will be back.
For those not used to the shore has the smell of the sea lions and ocean mixed together, nothing bad but might be a point for some people. The smell didn't bother us and that's their habitat so I'm up to put up with it to get to be so close this beautiful natural escape!!!!

"Beautiful hotel across the street from the beach"
We loved the tropical landscaping, the amazing view and the world-class staff (especially Mike). The one-bedroom King room was very spacious (a mini-suite). The breakfasts and "homemade" pastries were delicious. The outdoor seating and fountains were both welcoming and comfortable. Thanks for making our 25th wedding anniversary so special!
Thanks, too, for the chocolate-covered strawberries to help us celebrate! And the chauffered Mercedes Benz ride to our sailing excursion was a lovely touch.
