### Under the Oaks, a charming, romantic retreat with hot tub and sauna

We are located only 2 min. away from Randolph AFB and 39 min. from Lackland AFB  
From our location: Forum Mall ( outdoor mall). 10 min  
San Antonio Airport 25 min.  
San Antonio Downtown Alamo & The Riverwalk is 25 min.  
Six Flags, Schlitterbahn approximately 30 min. Seaworld is 45 min.  
San Marcos Tanger Outlet and Premium Outlet Mall is 30 min.  
River tubing is 25 min.  
U.C. Park directly behind our property is a playground & jogging trail.  
Pickrell Park outdoor swim pool is 5 min.  
The space  
Although centrally located around San Antonio, you may encounter & enjoy some wild life for nature lovers.  
Guest access  
Guests have access to the guest house, including two bedrooms and two baths as well as the driveway for parking.  
Guests have access to the deck including hot tub and immediate backyard that extends from the deck out.   
The pool in our backyard is not for our guests to use.  
The propane fire pit in the backyard is also for our guests to use, but please don't burn any wood there. Please close the propane tank valve after use.  
The deck sauna and hot tub is partially enclosed and allows for privacy.  
Only the guests renting the guest house have access to the hot tub/ sauna and no one else is allowed, including the host.  
The patio furniture in the courtyard of the main house are not to be used by the guests.  
Fell free to walk around in our 1 acre backyard and get in touch with countless species of wild birds, from Blue Jays to Owls.  
Get grounded by hugging on of our over 40 trees, rejuvenate and discover new energy.  
Other things to note  
We have an Amazon prime account for our guests where they can stream movies and TV shows for free. Everything on Amazon Prime is free and everything that is not part of Prime has to be purchased.  
The guest house dose not have a fully functioning kitchen but we do have a fridge, a microwave, a toaster oven, a Keurig coffee maker, hot and cold water dispenser and a Gas-BBQ grill on the deck.  
  
Sauna instructions !  
The Sauna fits at least 4 people comfortably, even laying down.  
The Sauna is turned on with a timer on the control panel and takes about 45-55 min. to warm up. The thermostat ( upper knob ) is turned to high.  
The switch for the light is on the control panel.  
Take a shower before using the sauna.  
Do not sit or lay on the wood, use towels to sit on at all times !!!  
If you're pregnant or in poor health check with your doctor before using the sauna.  
Do not smoke, use alcohol , or exercise in the sauna. The use of alcohol , drugs and medication is capable of greatly increasing the risk of fatal hypothermia.  
Do not use Pool or spa water on the hot rocks as this can create chemical fumes, only use small amounts of clean water.  
Do not put anything on the sauna oven.  
Do not exceed 30 min. in the sauna at one time, as excessive exposure can be harmful to health. The sauna should not be used as an endurance test.  
Leave the sauna if you feeling dizzy, drowsy or lethargic .  
Take a cool shower after the sauna and rest.  
The sauna is well recommended for those suffering from tension, adolescent skin problems, tiredness or those having trouble sleeping. Arthritis and rheumatism sufferers as well as those with sore muscles and joints from physical over exertion , will find the sauna heat very relaxing.

The hot tub was amazing, and so was the view of the backyard! We had expected it to be a full property with a kitchen, but that’s definitely on me for not looking through the description better. The TVs were great, and the AC was awesome! I’d definitely recommend this rental!

This sweet hideaway was exactly what I needed. Close to the places I wanted to visit, yet hidden away under the shady oaks. I loved having coffee on the deck every morning, (in the hot tub!) listening to birds (grackle and house sparrows) and watching the antics of the squirrels. Bonus: a new public library just around the corner! The guest house is comfortable, super clean, and extremely well stocked. My favorite Starbucks coffee for the Keurig, snacks, robes- not a detail was left out. I hope to become a regular guest during my visits to San Antonio.

Great stay! The guest room was very clean and thoughtfully stocked with extras to make guests feel welcome—coffee maker, snacks, drinks, and fresh, clean towels. The hot tub was fantastic, with complete privacy. I would definitely recommend this place!

#### Wonderful Getway to visit my Son 

I took a much needed break to fly out to visit my son. The place was Perfect!! Small but cozy and comfortable. I was close to visit with him and close enough to downtown to sightsee. The outdoor area was so inviting. Well kept, quiet, and private. The hot tub was a nice perk. The owners were more than accommodating and even got me a small cooler with ice so I could cool down some drinks quickly. I plan on going again after the New Year and I hope the property is available. I would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay and would absolutely return if we're ever back in the area. While there isn't an oven or a traditional living room, we were aware of that going in—and the hosts truly thought of everything to make up for it. There were comfortable sitting areas both inside and out, plus great extras like a grill, crock pots, and more. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and thoughtfully arranged. I had an enjoyable time here at this location. My fiancé also enjoyed it. It is a nice and cozy stay away from the busyness of San Antonio. I highly recommend anybody who needs time to decompress.

#### Clean and comfortable 

First and foremost, this place is clean! You can tell that the host prides themselves with the cleaniness. The AC is adjustable and can be quickly set for comfort. There are amenities, such as, fridge, microwave, TV, sauna and hot tub. The host was on point with their communications through Vrbo messages and made sure the stay was enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate booking at this property again.

#### Quick getaway

This is a perfect choice if you're trying to get out and relax away from all the noise and all the hustle and bustle of life today. They have a beautiful sauna and a hot tub that we enjoyed every day of our stay. The host is awesome. They have great communication and try to help as much as they can to make your stay pleasant. When we arrived they had a little table in the bedroom with snacks and a sweet note. This is honestly the cutest guest house rented thus far. We highly recommend you will not regret it! We would definitely stay again.

#### Great setup for my son and me

My adult son and I needed a place to stay while in San Antonio for the Final Four. This retreat certainly met our needs. While there is no common area inside the home, we enjoyed having separate bedrooms. The sauna and hot tub were nice bonuses for us. The place was quiet, peaceful, and felt very safe. We loved our stay.

#### Girls trip to San Antonio 

The property was very nice. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Two things I didn’t realize when making the reservation 1) There is no “common” space inside. There is a bench in the hall, but no place to sit and talk or have a meal. We were fortunate to have great weather and was able to enjoy the patio. 2). We knew there was not a full kitchen, but I didn’t realize there would be no ice or way to make ice. Neither of these stopped us from enjoying the stay, just things I didn’t know before arriving.

#### Birthday getaway

My fiancé and I stayed here as a little getaway for his birthday. The space was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The host left a snack basket and drinks in the fridge and the essentials. Communication was clear and easy! I plan on staying here again on our next trip to San Antonio!
