With premium, comfortable beds and luxury linens, large flat screen smart TVs, and premium cable channels, you are all set for working or for a comfy nest to relax. Included in the well-appointed kitchen are a Ninja Foodi and Keurig - along with everything needed for preparing meals, but if you don’t want to cook, the property is within pleasant walking distance or a short ride to many excellent dining and take out options. The casita is 15 minutes from the San Antonio airport or the Riverwalk. Situated in Alamo Heights, a lovely, quiet neighborhood in the heart of San Antonio, the property is walking distance from the McNay Art Institute and 5-10 minutes away from the Witte Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art, the Pearl Complex and Fort Sam Houston. The casita offers guests complete privacy - both inside and with a furnished shaded patio and backyard for guest use - but the owner is onsite and available to provide prompt response to any guest needs. The home offers three comfortable premium bed options: a king size bed in the bedroom; sofa with queen bed pull out; and a cozy day bed in a niche, perfect for reading or relaxing. One and a half bathrooms! Lovely dining/relaxing area off the functional kitchenette. The back yard has a deck and gazebo for outdoor relaxing. Carla, the owner, is wonderfully friendly, thoughtful, generous, and energetic. We found the location quiet despite being near a couple of busy roads. They did not bother us. And the location is handy to everything we wanted to visit--easy access to countless restaurants and top-tier sightseeing attractions. Alamo Heights is a safe section of San Antonio with easy access to all the area. You can UBER to all of San Antonio proper from there, and they are minutes from world class museums for a rainy day. We recommend a car rental for an extended stay, as the city of San Antonio is spread out. This rental is spotless, roomy and comfortable. With a full kitchen, refrigerator and hotplate you could easily cook if need be. They even left us some snacks and beer to start out with which was so kind! We came to rain in the area, so it was so nice to be able to spread out with a separate bedroom/living space. The bed is comfy, there are plenty of towels and sundries, and having a washer and dryer are always a plus! It was just my husband and myself, but you could easily sleep more comfortably There is beautiful outdoor seating, and you have two sweet cats to keep you company. Grocery options like Central Market with a great beer/wine selection and the HEB grocery chain give you plenty of choices to meet everyday needs. Ten minutes from the airport and three great Mall areas meet your needs for shopping and movies. Gretchen and Carla have information right there for great options regarding things to do see, close eateries, and their favorite spots to visit. Food here in San Antonio-delicious options in every price range! Everything about this rental is well thought out and handy. They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and fun. Best of all, these are wonderful people to deal with, answering every question with a quick text. We even got stuck in San Antonio due to a flight issue, and they even offered the place if we needed it for the extra day! That kind of consideration made our vacation memorable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! I can't say enough good things about it, and I almost hate to because I would never want to stay anywhere else! Master bed was uber comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! Gorgeous yard area for enjoying drinks or coffee and we took photos in that area as we were there for a special event. Close to everything we needed downtown and at Fort Sam. We could have definitely extended our stay if we were able and can’t wait to come back again! Everything was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Communication was easy, responsive and relaxed with onsite hosts. It was the perfect size for the two of us and could've easily slept a few more. It's an easy drive in to downtown activities, pearl district, etc., and then can return home to a safe, quiet and very nice neighborhood (where we enjoyed several walks). We also took advantage of the spacious backyard and multiple seating options to relax and enjoy the treats the gracious hosts had waiting for us. Gretchen also pointed us to some amazing wineries in hill country - perfect outing for a chilly early spring day! Don't miss a trip to the nearby HEB grocery store - "half food / half amusement park" is how they describe themselves :o) Iron Cactus was a great choice for lunch on Riverwalk - try the tamale pops! Alamo and Bluestar brewpubs were fun and for sure make a trip out to 5 Stones Brewery in New Braunfels; you'll love the beers and the outdoor beer garden is huge, relaxing and shaded! ##### bob k.
