Sunset Station is just a few blocks from this gem and features fun night life at various bars, as well as fine dining at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. In the evening, enjoy drinks (from your fully equipped kitchen) on the back patio and take in the stunning views of the Tower of the Americas and the Alamo Dome. If you have children who like to play in the yard, our home includes a large, fenced in backyard (with new sod (June 2012) and sprinkler system), which is very rare in downtown San Antonio. Enjoy the modern décor courtesy of world class decorator Kristén (my lovely wife). We own multiple properties, and this is definitely one of the coolest. Sleeping arrangements include a queen in the master, queen in bedroom 2, a full bed in bedroom 3, and air mattress upon request. We suggest no more than 8-9 people, for maximum comfort and space. Master bedroom boasts en suite, and additional full bathroom accommodates guest rooms (1/2 bath downstairs). Since you’ll be staying downtown, you’ve very close to everything San Antonio has to offer: Sea World (15 min), Six Flag (15 min), The Quarry (8 min), Zoo (7 min), Botanical Gardens (7 min), AT&T Center (7 min), and of course all of the famous downtown activities: the Market, Alamo, River Walk, trolley tours, and more! Our neighbors consist of police man, firefighters, teachers and military. GREAT neighborhood. If you head east towards the AT&T Center (Spurs game), it's more run-down and less desirable, but from our neighborhood to the city, you couldn't ask for a nicer area. Our pocket is the closest residential neighborhood to downtown, with small parks throughout and side streets to the Riverwalk and AlamoDome. Riverwalk : 1 mile AlamoDome: 2 blocks Want to know some of San Antonio's MUST sees? Attend a Spurs game, stroll the shops and restaurants at The RiverWalk, take in historical and cultural finds like the Alamo or the San Antonio Missions (World Heritage Site) or the newly renovated Pearl Brewery district and farmer's market, and eat the best TexMex food in the country! We had 4 adults, 1 teen and 2 Children. The house was a fantastic fit for our group. Everything worked great. The house was very clean. Communication with the property representative was great. The neighborhood the house is located in is OK. It is close to an area that is run down. You can hear rail and road traffic at night, not terrible, I35 is close. The proximity to all attractions in the downtown area is awesome. I would stay here again. ##### Billy W. The neighborhood is great and conveniently located to everything you could possibly want to do. There are a few reviews on this particular listing that mention the train that runs through downtown San Antonio and the owners of the house try and downplay the train horn. Let me be clear -- the train legitimately feels like it is running through the backyard. Now, this didn't bother us because all we cared about was the location. If you are a light sleeper and looking for a tranquil and peaceful getaway, I would maybe find somewhere else (this train runs in the middle of the night). Great location to get to downtown quick. I wouldn’t recommend walking downtown but it is just a short drive. The ac worked great and there are fans in the closet to use. They have a washer and dryer which is a plus with kids. Only downside which other people may not mind is the living room furniture being small and the walkway into the front door has a bush that’s prickly and goes onto the walkway. Me, my kids and their friends from Seattle stayed at this cute home. The home was cozy and so close to the Riverwalk/Downtown. Uber rides from the house to downtown are very inexpensive and the better way to go to avoid parking fees and traffic from construction. The house was clean and the owners were very responsive. Property manager was always quick to respond and was easy to communicate with. Location was awesome, and was close to every main tourist attraction. And grocery store was close by, too.
