Don't miss out, book now to secure your spot! This condo interacts with the other condos in that it is on the first floor in a four story building. The front section of the fourth floor is the called the Congo Lounge and it is open to all guests. There are tables, chairs, sofas and hammocks, as well as amazing views, ocean breezes, and howler monkeys hanging from the nearby trees! Alta Vista is in the Sámara neighborhood of Cangrejal, on the north end of the bay of Sámara. Cangrejal is a Costa Rican neighborhood, an old fishing village, and is very quiet with no loud music or bars. There is a great casual restaurant in Cangrejal just down the street towards the beach from Alta Vista called "La Perla" which offers great healthy local cuisine at reasonable prices. Two blocks away from Alta Vista opposite the beach is a popular supermarket named "La Iguana Verde", a medium size grocery and liquor store. The neighborhood like Sámara is safe in general. However always be aware of your personal belongings on the beach or in public. Please be safe yourself and considerate to the other guests of the building by closing and locking your parking garage gate. Before you arrive, please message Hilda & Patrick using the Airbnb messenger with your arrival time. It will help to exchange phone numbers at that point so you can call Hilda when you pass through Nicoya on your way to Samara. Nicoya is 50 minutes away and lets Hilda know your exact arrival time. When you pull up, you will see the sign on the front door: Alta Vista Condominiums, and the four-story building. If you’ve called us from Nicoya, we’ll be waiting to open the parking gate for you! Our friendly administrator Hilda will greet you with the keys and begin your check-in. Introducing Condo Amapola, a contemporary 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat. Each bedroom features a queen bed, complemented by a queen size pull-out sofa sleeper in the living room, accommodating a maximum of 6 guests. Positioned on the first floor, Amapola boasts a modern and serene ambiance. The expansive floor-to-ceiling windows offer a captivating beach and ocean view, creating a picturesque setting. Relax on the private balcony furnished for optimal enjoyment of this stunning vista. The beds and linens exude luxury, ensuring a comfortable stay. The open floor plan facilitates easy movement, relaxation, and seamless appreciation of the surrounding scenery. With three individual air conditioning units, your comfort is guaranteed. Welcome to a haven where modernity meets tranquility. Most guests either choose to rent a car and drive from the airport to Alta Vista or take some sort of private transportation. I do not recommend local transportation; you'd be taking 3-4 buses! Just say the word and Hilda can help you make a reservation for a private shuttle van; we have a company that has been providing dependable service for almost a decade. They will meet you at the airport with your name on a sign and drive you approx. two hours to Alta Vista in a comfortable, air-conditioned van usually stocked with cold water and fresh fruit. The driver typically speaks enough English to get by. They will stop at a grocery store in Nicoya if you choose. We especially appreciated that it was set away from town—it made for a peaceful, quiet retreat.One of the highlights was hearing the howler monkeys nearby, which was such a unique and special experience. We also loved having access to the pool—it was the perfect way to cool off and unwind. The view from the rooftop Congo Lounge allowed for even more incredible ocean and jungle scenery—an ideal spot to relax, take in the sunset, and truly appreciate the beauty of the area. We had such a marvelous stay in Samara, and that was due in large part to Alta Vista Condominiums. Our condo was clean, and Patrick, Hilda, and Xena were fantastic! We had plenty of room to spread out, and we felt comfortable instantly. The pool is amazing, and we swam every day we were in Samara. We even saw a family of howler monkeys in the tree above the condo! The rooftop deck/lounge is super-relaxing. I could have spent a whole day in those hammocks... All of that said, what really sets this place apart is its location. It's an easy 5-minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in my life. It's close enough to town to get there in a few minutes, but far enough away to feel quiet, peaceful and secluded. The property manager, Hilda, was fabulous——very responsive, kind and helpful. Check in was easy and we were impressed by the thorough yet efficient orientation to the property. The location is perfection: a three minute walk to the beach and about ten minutes to the downtown, and it was nice & quiet. It was also very secure/gated. We were thrilled to see some adorable howler monkeys in the trees next to the building one morning. Patrick's place is wonderful: comfortable, clean, well stocked, spacious and perfect location. We loved the afternoon shade at the pool aftet returning from the beach. Easy walk to the beach and town. Samara is such a great town with an authentic feel with lots of great restaurants. Also, Patos surf school is a great choice. Overall perfect! ##### Gina K. It is large, clean and bright and has everything you need. The location is perfect, just a quick drive to all the shops and restaurants in Samara but away from the crowds. There are a couple of restaurants (sodas) within walking distance. The beach is huge and beautiful, only about a 5 minute walk down the road. Everything you need for the beach is supplied in the condo. Hilda, the administrator, is wonderful and very responsive. The security at the condominium is excellent, especially the covered parking garage. The rooftop common lounge area is an added bonus, as is the small pool in the front. The front of the building gets intense direct sun first thing in the morning. There are blackout shades for the front rooms but they do have spaces where the sun comes through, so bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep late. Wasn’t a problem for us as we used the back bedroom and there were only the 2 of us, plus we are early risers. We wish we could have stayed longer, we will definitely return to stay here again! ##### Rebecca M. My family of four, including 2 boys ages 12 and 10, stayed here more than a month and really enjoyed it. The condo was plenty spacious and comfortable for us. The beach is just a 1-2 minute walk down the road. Plus the top floor shared lounge patio has an amazing view. Convenience stores and local 'soda' restaurants are within minutes walk too. The dipping pool on the ground floor is refreshing. The unit has ample space for our family of four - our sons shared a queen size bed. The howler monkeys in the surrounding trees are super cool. It's an enjoyable 20-minute walk along the beach into town. It feels safe, and Patrick and his team are super responsive to any questions and concerns. We’d love to stay here again and highly recommend the condo for a small family. It's far enough from town to have more peacefulness but close enough with a convenient, enjoyable walk along the beach. ##### Andrew L. It was so clean and well managed which is not common in Costa Rica. It had everything we needed to be comfortable including ac that worked in every room, washer and dryer on property, and a full functioning kitchen with even a dishwasher and garbage disposal. The view is incredible from the balcony. Once a week the apartment was deep cleaned and another day completely sweep. It was a wonderful break from cleaning for a mom of two little kids. There were tons of clean towels, sheets, beach chairs, and even an umbrella. The apartment is a short five minute walk to beach, walking distance to a small market, and a quick bike ride to the center of town. Dennis and Hilda are the property managers who took fantastic care of us. We stayed for six weeks and it was wonderful. We love Samara! ##### Kelly S. Great Place to Stay We arrived in Samana on December 2 and stayed to December 12th/2018\. This was our second visit to Samana. We had another great stay. The Owner ( Patrick ) was staying at the condo when we arrived and he was very helpful and friendly. The condo was in a great location. It was close to the beach as well as to the small village of Playa Samana. We could walk to the local restaurants or grocery stores. The condo was very comfortable and had everything you needed. The condo even had beach chairs and towels for the beach. It was always nice to go to the beach for the day and then come back to the pool and relax around it. Patrick's staff were extremely friendly and were always offering a helping hand. Laura met us at the condo on our schedule and made us feel welcome and made the checked in and check out very easy. Dennis was always around to help us and to look after the condo complex. It was a nice touch that the Patrick had arranged that a cleaning lady came in every four days to clean and change sheets and wash towels. We love the area and especially our stay here and would definitely would like to come back to this condo another time. This was a great holiday and a great place. ##### Paul E.
