The Space: Welcome to Saluda Grade Cabins! Saluda Grade Cabins is a cabin community in Saluda, North Carolina. This private oasis provides peace, comfort, and the opportunity to form lifelong memories on the property. While on the Cabin Fever grounds you will have access to a charcoal grill, two communal fire-pit pavilions with seating, its own small mountain stream with bridge access, outdoor play space, two hiking trails, a family-friendly zip-line, a small pond, water wheel, and so much more! The Bird’s Nest is Saluda Grade Cabins version of a “rustic” hotel suite! It offers one king size bed, sleeper sofa, coffee maker, and small refrigerator, flat screen TV with Apple TV connected. Apple TV includes ESPN, Disney, Youtube, Weather Channel plus more. (PLEASE NOTE--Internet is currently slow. We are working to solve this.) Oversized bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi bath-tub, ceiling fan plus gas heat and air conditioning. This is the perfect spot for honeymooners, a couple, or family who want something a little out of the ordinary. It is attached to the caretaker’s lodge with its own private entrance & parking, plus quiet screen porch overlooking waterwheel on small mountain stream. This room sleeps 2-4 comfortably. Please note this room does not have a buck stove or fire pit outside. As a hosting family, we strongly believe in making memories wherever you are. That is why we have provided local suggestions so you can enjoy the experience of fully immersing yourself in the local culture. It was clean, well arranged, comfortable bed, nice jacuzzi garden tub, trails to stroll through, swings, rocking chairs, and gorgeous trees in Fall splendor as well as precious night lighting. It was the perfect location to visit Saluda, Skytop Orchard, Flat Rock, Hendersonville, Bell Park, Flat Rock Park, and the Gorge for ziplining. We tried it all and didn't want to leave! We visited Little Bradley Falls, which was so much fun! I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Cabin was super cute and clean. We did find a few items left in the fridge, I’m assuming from the previous guests. The bathtub does have a sink faucet, so it’s hard to take a bath as it takes forever to fill. The lock on the cabin door is very iffy. It doesn’t fully lock sometimes, and shakes if you don’t physically pull the door while you lock it. Just be sure to hold the handle when locking. There were minimal bugs and decent wifi connection. Check in & out were seamless and easy. I would stay here again. It was very clean and the property owners were very responsive with any questions or concerns. There were only two things that were not great. First, the bathtub tap is me at for a sink so it took over 30 minutes to fill the tub when I wanted to enjoy a bath. Second, there are blinds but no curtains and there is a light that hangs right in front of the one window so I didn’t sleep well because every night it felt like the sun was coming up all night. I did tell the owners and suggested either offering a curtain for the window or moving the lights outside so they stopped before the window. Hopefully that will be addressed for future guests. I loved the seat on the porch, and the sound of the running water in front of the cabin, I spent an afternoon reading and napping on the porch, it was perfect. The Bird’s Nest and the overall property were beautiful. We had a mother/daughter event and this place was just what we needed. My daughter loved the jetted bathtub and the fun swing on the porch. The playground was really neat, too. So many fun things there. The place was comfy cozy and just what we needed for the two of us. The drive in was so sweet with string lights lighting the way. A lovely place for a weekend retreat. Very convenient to lots of hiking trails. The check in process was super easy. The unit was clean, and everything was in working order. Wifi signal was very poor, and TV wouldn't stream shows because of that, but overall very satisfied with the stay. ##### Richard O.
