Great B&B with an ocean view. Very comfortable and clean. The room was really small and desperately needed a shelf, towel bars/hooks in the toilet. Staff was exemplary: courteous, helpful and friendly. The entire place was really, really clean! It's a little far from downtown, not walkable but only about at 12€ taxi. Would definitely recommend.

Very helpful and welcoming staff. The apartment has almost everything you would need. Lovely view out of the window onto the bay and to the hills opposite. It is a short walk from the apartment to the city centre (but you can easily get a bus or taxi). It is also a pleasant walk along the bay-side in the opposite direction. Galway is a lovely city with plenty to see and do.
Very quiet neighborhood but close to great food and views! Margaret was very welcoming and had good tips on where to go out. Was very helpful getting us on our tour to Connemara, even called the tour company to ensure timely pick up. Definitely would go back!
"Nice guesthouse in quieter area but close to city"
We were a but apprehensive as this was a last minute booking and some of the reviews were not favorable but we were pleasantly surprised. We were in a superior double and it was very comfortable with good views of the sea (we didn't find traffic noise a problem with open windows overnight).
Southwest from Galway City, Salthill brings visitors to Galway Bay, where they can watch the Volvo Ocean Race in early July. Leisureland provides indoor aquatic activities and a performance hall for concerts and exhibitions. Much of Salthill's activity takes place on its seaside promenade, The Prom, and many of the restaurants and businesses along the prom offer views over the bay.
