I enjoyed the full English breakfast every morning which was cooked to order and a self service area for tea, coffee, toast etc. Since my last visit a couple of years ago the Wi-Fi has been much improved and the small TV has been replaced with a 40" smart TV. The grounds are always well kept. The only downside was using Expedia for the first time. They told me my room was booked but Saltburn House weren't sent my details. All linen was beautifully crisp and clean. Fluffy, quality white towels. Shower was easy to use and lovely and hot with no problems. Could have done with towel rail in the bathroom (in bedroom) and a bedside shelf/table (one at bed bottom). This is a huge, very old hotel which could do with a refurb. But is blatantly well-loved and was very busy! It's a stone's throw from the beating heart of the town. There isn't a hotel car park and parking wasn't too easy. I would return.
