The kitchen was very well stocked. We had a great time and enjoyed using the hot tub. The only thing that was an issue was the a/c. It was warm outside (80s during the day) and the house was warm. We turned the units on cool and turned the temps down but they would always go back up to 72\. We are familiar with Salida after living in the area for many years. We came with family for assistance in getting our cabin ready to sell. Although the property is aesthetically nice there are some 'areas' of concern. The most important is the hazard surrounding the fireplace. Four family members tripped over the rock in front of the furnace. My husband tripped and sustained a horrible fall. He is on a blood thinner and fortunately did not hit his head. It was the perfect location to explore lots of nearby towns and adventures. Beautiful mountain views in every direction. Some of the inside felt a little odd. As someone who is detail oriented, the paint was sloppy, the decor felt random, and some of the spaces just felt thrown together. For example, many of the rooms you had to step down into and then back up into the bathrooms. One of the bathrooms you nearly fall out of when you open the door from the toilet.
