Perfectly located (For Historic Centre, Beach and Old Port) beautifully preserved and maintained Palazzo-style hotel. We felt completely immersed and thanks to the Hotel Staff who were so professional, friendly and helpful, we utterly enjoyed every moment of our stay in Otranto

A Perfect Place to Stay in Otranto
Great location in the old town, very convenient for all the key sites and a nice view of the waterfront from the balcony. The hotel is very clean with comfortable rooms and beds, and a good breakfast. We were given excellent restaurant recommendations.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Palazzo Papaleo. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they helped with suggestions and bookings in the area. We parked at a nearby paid lot outside of the ZTL, and it was a quick walk with our carry-on sized suitcases. We wish we stayed longer, and would definitely return!

The hotel is very conveniently placed within the old town, making it very easy to pop down to the sea and go back to the room and shower and then pop out again for food et cetera. The hotel itself is nice, not super lux but nice, and clean, there were things that niggled like the layout of the room and the air con, but the thing that raised this hotel up above others that I’ve stayed in and took it from a forgettable experience to one I won’t forget in a hurry, is the staff. What amazing people!. Couldn’t do enough and with a smile! I thought Patrizia was the manager (she isn’t but she should be!) her customer service, attention to detail, attentiveness and concern for our wellbeing and enjoyment was just…wow. Special mention also to Elena and the boys at breakfast. If I come back to Otranto I will definitely stay here again because of them Thank you everyone

Staff at front desk was great and very helpful, Valentina and Elena get 5 stars. At breakfast , Sacha was very informative and a great conversationalist. Been to Otranto 2 times before , this was the very best place.Highly recommend this hotel.

This was a lovely hotel in a fantastic location -- across the narrow street from the main church. Beautiful building that has been converted into a hotel, great rooftop and view. We would recommend this to anyone.

This hotel is a self-styled 5 star, not quite what you'd expect, but worth every one of those stars. The location cannot be beaten, right in the heart of the old town, within touching distance of the Cathedral (literally), the rooms are very comfortable and we had a balcony and large terrace (not that we ever had time to use them). What makes this place even more special though is the fantastic staff, every one of them pleasany and welcoming. The communication with Patrizia before arriving was first class. Otranto is a wonderful place, and I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough to fellow travellers.

Great stay in the historic center of Otranto!
Palazo Papaleo a great hotel in the historic center of Otranto. Since it is located in a limited traffic zone (LTZ) the reception staff will pick you up with a golf cart. Rooms are spacious and breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace!

Best Hotel in Otranto
This was a lovely hotel in the direct center of Otranto. Lovely management and the property is stunning and across from the central cathedral. The rooms were spacious and modern, lovely patios, and the rooftop restaurant and vista was lovely. The management was incredibly helpful and cheery - this was my favorite stay during our weeklong road trip through the Puglia region.

Perfect location in the Centro Storico of Otranto. I would rate this hotel with nearly 100 %. Extremely friendly staff, always eager to help. Ckean room, nice bedroom and - for Italy important - the king beds!!! We stayed here for three days. And were sorry to leave.

We really loved that it was boutique (small exclusive amount of guests), had everything we needed- good breakfast, fabulous location next to the cathedral and 2 mins walk to castle. The cleaning staff were exceptional. Because the hotel is within the main walls of the castle area - they pick you up from the nearest street with a buggy to move your luggage as you cannot drive up to the hotel. The restaurants surrounding were fantastic. The solarium area on the roof is great with a jacuzzi and also chef for the guests at night if you would like to dine at the hotel for guests only. It also has a lovely air conditioned sitting room. Great value for the money we spent and so so charming.

Excellent hotel in the center of the old town. The staff spoke English perfectly which made the arrival and check in very smooth. The rooms were big and clean. The hotel also assisted with parking the car and a free of charge golf car to transfer us and our luggage without any hassle. Will definitely return.

We stayed out of season so it was both quiet and much cheaper than high season. The staff were both friendly and helpful. The breakfast as excellent with lots of fresh local foods to sample and can be enjoyed on the rooftop terrace. The terrace offers lovely views of the bay. The only downside was the noise coming from the roof terrace above our room from a very early hour as staff were presumably setting up for breakfast. As an overnight stay it was okay but I think we'd have got a bit fed up if we'd had to endure it every morning.

Perfect stay
Only downfall was finding the hotel and getting parking , we parked car, bought ticket and then brought our bags to hotel and then staff explained where we could park locally free. Staff very helpful recommending restaurants etc. breakfast lovely, fresh fruit , pastries and more

Great staff and location but not a 5 star hotel as claimed. The standard of the room and overall hotel decor and breakfast would have to be increased significantly to be a 5 star but then they are not charging 5 star prices. Overall I would highly recommend it for the price.

This is a destination hotel. Mauricio, at the reception, as well as the hotel chef, were very warm and accommodating. Breakfast featured many fantastic local items and flavors and handmade pastries. My only suggestion is that they find a way to make the roof-top jacuzzi hot enough.
